Andrea deserves more than a 5-star rating if it were possible. Before adopting our family dog this past January, I reached out for more information through her website. Having read all of her glowing reviews, I felt confident about choosing her. Although we didn't know each other, Andrea took the time to speak with me on the phone for a good 40 minutes, discussing the pros and cons of adopting a dog versus going through a breeder. She wasn't obligated to do this, as I wasn't her customer yet, but it was clear from that initial conversation that she would be our choice if we went through with the adoption. Six months later, Andrea has worked wonders with our pitbull rescue, Dottie. Shortly after adopting her, we discovered Dottie was a bolter, darting out the door at any chance and even managing to clear our 6-foot privacy fence in seconds. Despite my efforts to deter her with bird spikes, nothing seemed to stop her from escaping to play with the neighbor’s dog. I considered Andrea’s overnight boot camp for Dottie and was willing to pay for it, but Andrea, in her honesty, didn't think Dottie was a suitable candidate at that time and didn't want to take my money. Instead, she provided us with weekly objectives, and Dottie began to show progress. Indoors, her recall practice improved significantly, but we still needed extra help outdoors. After another escape incident, I begged Andrea to take Dottie for boot camp. Andrea agreed to a one-week camp, and the results were transformative. Dottie returned as a much more focused and well-behaved dog, especially outdoors. Andrea ensured the skills transferred to us for ongoing maintenance and routine, making it possible to confidently take Dottie into public spaces. She is an expert and really takes the time to educate. She has taught me so much about dog behavior and body language. Following Andrea’s coaching will undoubtedly lead to results, but it requires commitment—humans are often the weak link in dog training. Andrea genuinely cares about her clients, maintaining an open phone policy for any needs. While I'm sad to see her move, the dogs of South Carolina are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated individual among them.
