Art of the Dog Canine Academy

This place is amazing! I knew it was the right place to take our 2 year old pup from the very first conversation I had with them to discuss training which included both behavioral and obedience training. We took our pup to the Longmont location and our individual trainer Parras was absolutely the best! When I dropped off Otter they allowed me to tour the facility and ask additional questions which helped to relieve the anxiety any owner would have dropping off their loved one for 3 weeks. We also received daily detailed updates including videos and photos over the 3 week period. When we met for Otter’s graduation, Parras spent over two hours with us going over all the commands, walking us through what to do with different situations and observing and making minor corrections as we walked around the park. It’s clear to me that Art of the Dog is the very best at what they do! They realize that the pup/dog can be trained but it is essential for the owners to also have instructions and training. So glad we chose Art of the Dog! High marks for them and especially Parras!

We sent our puppy for training at the Longmont location of Art of the Dog in February. We had adopted Captain on February 7th, and six days later my husband had a serious skiing accident, and we didn't feel it was safe to have an untrained, 80-pound puppy in the house with him. I had never seriously considered a board-and-train arrangement before, but after my initial call with Art of the Dog, I felt this was the right solution to our needs. We could not have been more pleased with the way things were handled, and continue to be impressed with the follow up support available. We received almost daily updates regarding Captain's progress, including photos and videos. Those updates became smething the whole family looked forward to. We also received training videos to help us understand how to maintain the training once Captain returned home. At the end of the three weeks, we got to spend about an hour and a half with one of the trainers on a walk with Captain so we could practice. It has been two months since Captain graduated, and things have been great. He's still the same goofy dog we fell in love with, but his manners make him much easier to have around, both at home and especially in public. We get comments all the time about how well-behaved his is, especially when they find out he's not a year old yet. The biggest improvement is his behavior on leash. I have never enjoyed walking a dog as much as I enjoy walking Captain now. We receive regular texts from the company checking in, and when we have questions or concerns, we get prompt and helpful responses. All in all, I am thrilled we found Art of the Dog, and will recommend them to anyone looking for dog training.

This Art of The Dog experience was the most amazing experience I could have ever had, I had the best time with them, they sent me updates every day. Not only that but the incredible training my pup experienced was top notch, it is night and day difference, he is so obedient and follows commands so well and he has no problem doing it. Art of The Dog is by far the best experience I could have ever had, if you are skeptical about training your pup here don’t be, I promise you will have the most amazing time and so will your dog, they are very professional and efficient with the experience you will be grateful with your choice guaranteed. I was extremely skeptical before I chose them due to my experience with another trainer in my local area, but after 1 week with them all those feelings disappeared. I would trecommend them to anyone with a puppy or an adult dog, they can definitely teach an old dog new tricks 😎
