Asheville Dog Academy

My Mom who goes by D. Took our dog to dog training tlasses at this establishment. Chris, was very helpful and patient to make sure that our needs would be met prior to signing up for classes in a consultation. We purchased a package of classes and Anne was our instructor. My Mom personally did not have a private dog trainer before, but she was impressed with Ann. Ann communicated clearly via text where and when to meet up due to the fact Mom and dog went to different locations for training to expose the dog to different environments and conditions. My Mom is glad that Ann made her aware what she could expect from our dog, which was extremely helpful, so my Mom and our dog could develop a beautiful working relationship. Ann showed my mom minute details which were crucial to the success for the dog to learn specific tasks. Mom had gone to regular dog training before with other dogs, but Anne was so knowledgeable and patient to achieve great progress in a nurturing manner. My mom needs for the dog to learn one other specific task and she is looking forward to work with Anne again. By the way, mom says that the dog likes to work with Anne as well.

Highly recommend Asheville Dog Academy and trainer Rebecca! If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. Rebecca was our Labrador Retriever puppy's trainer and we couldn't be more grateful. Her endless patience and kindness with him was incredible. Rebecca taught us and our puppy tactics to use for bad behaviors that I had no hope for going in as well as preventative methods to use before he developed other habits. We even learned manners for getting in and out of the car which we needed because all we had to do at home was say, "Rebecca," and our pup ran to our car with a wagging tail! Thank you ADA and Rebecca for everything!

Anna has been absolutely wonderful with Arlo, our high‑energy Bernedoodle puppy. She handled his big personality with total ease and always knew how to channel his excitement into something productive. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and truly understands how to communicate with both dogs and their humans. Arlo adores her and could never wait to get to class. We’re so grateful for the progress he’s made — Anna is the real deal.

We are beyond thrilled with the progress that our dog Theo made with training from the Asheville Dog Academy. Anna did a wonderful job giving us so many tips we could put into practice everyday that were impactful very quickly. The mix of 1:1 training, training in public settings, and group training were all very beneficial. Now we can take our dog anywhere and he is well behaved.
