Auburn Leach K9 Academy

I had a horrible experience with Auburn Leach K9 Academy. My dog started lashing out and acting aggressively after an altercation with a neighbor;s dog when he was young. I wish I had done more research before deciding to go with Auburn as I later found several accounts of issues with this organization. Everything was fine at first - I signed my contract, made the payment, and my dog was picked up several time from my house and taken to stay with the K9 Academy for his training. I started to notice the way my dog would act around Auburn when he dropped him off and the pronged collar that was leaving indents around his neck. I understood that it was a training facility with a specialization in aggressive dogs, however, I highly question his tactics as well as the treatment of my dog. My dog had NEVER been hit, but after his "trainings" with Auburn he seemed to fear raised hands and was not showing any improvement. Later, no one at the organization would answer any of my calls. I never received a copy of my signed contract which I asked for over and over. Eventually, Auburn stopped showing up and cut off all contact. Meanwhile, my dog was not any better and may have in fact been worse and more defensive. I encourage people looking for training or those trying to get a handle on their aggressive dog to please do your research and look elsewhere. This organization took advantage of me when I really needed help with a beloved pet. They took my money, treated my dog who knows how, and completely shut me out when I tried to ask questions and figure out what was going on. Highly advise people to AVOID.

We saw a lot of bad reviews after we paid them our deposit. We decided to go with another company, and they will not respond to us, or return our $1000.00 deposit. We let them know months in advance that we changed our minds. Still crickets. My credit union contacted them, and they sent a response saying the provided a service. Neither us nor our dog has set foot on their property. The only contact we had with them was when they took our deposit over the phone. It looks like we'll have to take them to court if they don't return the funds. I would like to give them a no star review, but that's not an option.

I have 2 Pitt Bulls that had pack mentally, aggression issues and very disobedient. They were crazy. Before training if your dog got around my 2 dogs it would be attached. Before training I use to get kicked out of parks, camp grounds everywhere. One of my dogs attached a human. My dogs stressed me out NOW... After 2 weeks of training. I walk past dogs, ducks, squirrels there's no pulling and no issues. They can be in a group of dogs and no fighting. They are obiedent. A total transformation. I enjoy being around my dogs. This training is worth every penny! I highly recommend for your dogs. Auborn gives 100% focus on your dog. Treats them like family. You have to let go and trust him..your not going to get tons of pictures and phone calls.

I took a wild dog that I rescued to this place several years ago on the recommendation of someone. I witnessed my dog being jerked off his feet by his collar and leash by this man. I also observed 2 boxer puppies crammed into a tiny cage together-so tight that they could not move unless they did so together, unable to stand, sit or lie down. NOW, my dog, whom I took home and trained myself with love and kindness to be well behaved, sweet and calm, is having difficulty with his neck-severe pain, stiffness, and problems with his breathing/partially obstructed airway. I don't think he will live much longer. I can't help but think that the mistreatment that he received while at this hell hole is the cause. If you CARE for your dog, stay away from this place. In addition, once when I took my dog there for a lesson, I waited for a long time in my car. Finally a woman with multiple nasty, red needle tracks on her arms came to my car to tell me my lesson would have to be canceled.
