Disappointed with communication and service, though making an appointment was easy and the staff were friendly to me and my dog. I asked for a specific doggy haircut, but the style my dog came home with was completely different. I understand that his fur was matted in certain areas, which the groomer pointed out and I acknowledged. But even with matting, past groomers have always been able to get close to or exactly what I requested. Or, at the very least, called me to discuss alternatives. That didn’t happen here. The groomer just made a judgment call and went ahead with a very different cut. What was more disappointing was a small cut on my dog’s front leg. When I picked him up and mentioned it, the groomer brushed it off as nothing. But my dog kept licking the area and that part was sensitive to the touch. When I brought him to the vet, they confirmed it looked like a grooming-related injury. A few more things. Almost all of my dog’s past grooming appointments have taken 3 to 4 hours. Here, I was told it would take 60 to 90 minutes, which caught me off guard. I have no idea if my dog was bathed or if he was just placed in a kennel, given a quick clip, and finished with a spritz of cologne. What I’m used to is a more complete grooming process that includes a bath, dematting, blow-dry, and styling. I usually pay more for that level of care, but that’s the usual I was expecting. The haircut itself also looked rushed and uneven. There are visible clipper track marks, choppy transitions where blending was missed, and stray tufts of longer fur in areas that should have been tidied up. It looks like the cut wasn’t fully finished. I feel a little irritated every time I look at it. Again, nice staff, but I can't confidently recommend grooming services here. * This is written under a different name to protect my online privacy. Where to even start with how much we’ve loved Austin Canine Central. We started taking our pup to ACC a couple times a week three years ago when he was just five months old, and it’s been a consistent and wonderful part of his (and our) life since then! The word “daycare” without fail makes his ears perk and run to the door for another day of play at his favorite place outside of home. The entire team at ACC is incredible and we always loved hearing who Mo played with that day — he would also always run into daycare happy and bound out when we’d pick him up like he’d had the best day of his life. We’re so grateful for the consistent care and comfort of knowing that our beloved pup was treated so well while at daycare, you can tell that the staff genuinely loves their job and the dogs they care for. Now that we’re moving out of state we only hope we can find another place that he loves as much :) Thank you for everything, ACC!!!!!

Phoebe my Iggy loves this place! The staff are super friendly and love the dogs. Very clean facility and when I pick her up she still smells good. Other places I've used have outdoor play areas and the mulch smells like urine so I had to bathe her after each visit. Anyway, this place has indoor play and outdoor potty. This is also great for Phoebe because she doesn't tolerate hot or cold weather well. Love the half day and full day options.

Austin canine central has been a great experience for my daughter and her puppy! She just finished her first conformation class for beginner dog show handling. Our instructor, Jo Lynn, was kind, helpful & knowledgeable! She was so patient with both my daughter and her puppy. She gave us many tips! At the location there is a big, clean bathroom, and a store front too. They have food, treats, toys and collars for purchase! Hope you check out there website for the next upcoming class schedules! They offer affordable rates! I know we are looking forward to obedience classes next!

My mom and I paid for a basic training class with Austin Canine Central with Julie as the instructor. We wasn’t even learning basic it was like advance. The first day she wanted the dog to come to you and sit under you where their back is facing in front and head is facing behind you in between your legs. My mom went into the hospital due to medical issues and had to miss some classes. My mom comes to class with her feeding tube backpack on because she has a feeding tube. Julie was very understanding about my mom medical issues and said my mom can keep coming to class that it didn’t count against her. Every class I attended I would show my mom so she was still able to not get behind. I missed only 2 classes and any classes you miss she won’t tell you what you miss or send you any homework on what to work with your dog. When my mom and I went to our last class which was supposed to be to be graduation. Both dogs are very smart and love to learn. They did everything we were told and did and completed the exercise we didn’t even practice on. At the end of the class Julie told us we couldn’t graduate cause I missed 2 classes and my mom miss even when she has life threatening medical issues. My mom has a feeding tube and she has a backpack that she have to take with her anytime she is separated from her feeding pump. Julie of course told us we definitely passed the class. That we Ace it but we don’t get a certificate. Of course she said we can continue on the next class. Tbh it was very heart breaking for me and especially for my mother to do all that work and our dogs did amazing and told we don’t get a certificate for passing the class but in the instructor eyes we pass. We are never going back. The Austin Canine Central I once knew when Joyce Morgan was still alive has completely gone down hill.
