Avid K9 Training

Training with A1 K9 has been a huge game changer for our household. Winnies progress and the support we received from training with Marth is indescribable. We’re more than confident that we made the right choice for our pup. Winnie’s my first Bull Terrier and I WAS NOT as prepared as I had hoped I would be for all of her energy and the time/ attention she was going to need. Marth is extremely knowledgeable and is always up for a challenge. The advice and guidance we received from him was tailored specifically to Winnies needs and personality. We immediately began to see improvement as soon as we started our first class. Throughout the course my bond with my pup improved immensely. He helped us tackle all of the basics along with her separation anxiety and crate training. In addition to all of the wonderful things Marth helped us accomplish he also provided a safe environment for us to learn how to properly socialize Winnie with dogs of all sizes, behaviors, and levels of obedience. Winnie is a completely different dog than she was before we started training with A1 canine and I mean that in all the best ways possible. Winnies progress continues to amaze me even beyond her completion of the course. Our only regret is not reaching out to Marth sooner. There is no one in this universe that we would confidently recommend more than A1 K9.

I can't express this enough-THIS TRAINING WAS EXCELLENT! We started working with Marth and A1 K9 Training when our mini-golden doodle puppy was only 8 or 9 weeks old. We did 20 private trainings over the course of about 5 months (around 1 session a week), and our dog mastered advance obedience (he sits, stays, comes, & lays down on command), on and off leash reliability, home etiquette (I can even take my dog in other people's homes and he doesn't jump on their couch or tear up their stuff), and he learned playful tricks! I am a very busy and active person, and I honestly couldn't handle a dog if it wasn't trained and well-behaved, so taking the time out of my busy schedule to go to class once a week was essential and TOTALLY WORTH IT! I take my dog to restaurants, and I can even take him on a plane and he'd sit on my lap and chill because he respects me and others. Everyone compliments my dog and says "Wow! He's sooo good!" and he's not even a year old yet...he's only 9 months (about 30 lbs)! This wouldn't have been possible without the help of Marth. I just followed his instructions (even the food suggestions and toy suggestions he gave me) and it all worked! And our dog had so much fun while learning! I rarely write reviews, but I just had to share our experience because I want other dogs to be this good too. :-)

I adopted Emma at the age of 8 weeks. I knew from her mixed breed that she should get training as soon as possible. Marth was recommended to me from my neighbor and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. I know Marth was the right trainer for me when I first met him. He is honest, genuine, and very sweet with Emma. I think what I like about him the most is that he was straight to the point and wasn’t scared to call me out on anything I was doing wrong with the training. In the end he really wants you to be the best trainer/parent to your dog. He is really knowledgable about dogs and you can tell how much he cares for them. Not to mention he is really funny and easy to be around during your sessions. Emma was my first dog as an adult and I had so many questions in the beginning. Marth was always a text away from any concerns or recommendations. I know what kind of food and toys are perfect for Emma because of Marth. He really knows his stuff and has been a lot of help for us outside of training. During his personal training he really teaches you a lot on how to train your dog so you can have that special connection with them. I have a lot anxiety issues and he worked with me to help me get through some of my issues so that I can be a better father to Emma. An add on to his training that is really valuable is his social classes. In his social classes, you can train your dog with other dogs around. This has been beneficial with Emma and her listening to me with other distractions. I highly recommend Marth to anyone who really wants honest and valuable training for their dogs. He is the best trainer in the valley. His prices are more than fair for what you are getting.

What can I say about A1K9? I spent months searching for a dog trainer. I was promised results by many different trainers, but none that I truly trusted. I randomly came across A1K9 when it was previously known as For the Love of Bones. From my first conversation with Marth, I knew he was the trainer I wanted to work with. I didn't even need a consultation because I felt in my gut this guy was not going to scam me for a quick buck. His energy was positive and reassuring and the progress my dog has made in a remarkable. Not only has Marth helped my dog, he has also helped me become a better dog mom. He has helped me with making better food choices for my dog as well as understanding the different levels of high value treats and when to use them. I truly value and respect him as a trainer and now even consider him family. If you are truly committed and dedicated to training your dog, I highly recommend A1K9!
