I interviewed several trainers and chose Backyard Canine after speaking with the owner because of his experience and understanding of dogs. After our initial training, he paired us (my Cane Corso Angel and I) up with Aisha. Aisha's teaching and training methods are very doable and practical. She's very patient and doesn't mind repeating herself because truthfully, she's training ME and my dog. I appreciate that Aisha isn't a cookie-cutter trainer. She's able to tailor Angel's lessons to her level while keeping mindful of my goals. I can see my Angel's improvement after each lesson. We're learning so much in every session.

I can’t say enough great things about Amanda and her expertise as a working dog trainer. From the moment I started training with her, it was clear that she has an incredible depth of knowledge and a true passion for what she does. She doesn’t just train dogs she educates owners, ensuring that both handler and dog are set up for long-term success. Over the time I’ve worked with her, she has passed down so much valuable advice, techniques, and insights that have completely changed the way I handle and train my dog Pasha. Chris and Misty and everybody at BCA are phenomenal. I’ve had a few sessions with Chris for my almost 6 year old dachshund with reactivity issues and we’ve had nothing but great encounters. Chris really knows his stuff and the way he is with each and every dog is strictly catered to that dog. With my girl being so small he’s so gentle and calm with her. He’s even this way with large dogs and especially puppies! The information he gives is not sugar coated and the direction he gives is amazing. He notices every small detail (it’s mostly me doing it wrong😂). He’s hands down the best trainer I’ve worked with and we will always go to Chris for whatever we need. I’ve even reached out with videos of how we look between sessions and his encouragement is always spot on. You can tell he takes pride in his work and what he does while also giving owners the confidence to train and handle their dogs. I couldn’t be happier and we plan on training with Chris for as long as we can!
