Balanced K9 Services

We are the owners of 3 German Shepherd Dogs who were wild & unruly. We were about at the end of our rope when we found Ryan at Balanced K9 Services. He has been a lifesaver, teaching us how to get our pack under control and to have good manners. He quickly helped us solidify the basic sit/down/stay commands and how to walk 3 GSD on a loose leash. This has been quite an accomplishment in a relatively short period of time and we will be forever grateful. We would highly recommend Ryan to anyone needing help with their dog.

Working with Ryan to help Rufus my 85 pound 2 1/2 year old dog to become better and I a better communicator was the best investment I have ever made. Ryan was so detailed on my first call and gave me clear understanding on what we needed. I knew Rufus was in great hands. Ryan has a gift with dogs and I am glad we got to experience it. Rufus and I are truly in-sync with each other now, it is amazing!!! My best friend and her neighbors are blown away at the results. I am a better dog mom and he is a better dog. When we go on our walks it is by far the best time for both of us. I can clean the house, bring in groceries and talk on the phone he stays in place. Ryan is so clear in the simplicity and explanation of what we need and our dogs to thrive. You will realize as I have why training is so important. This experience opened my eyes to step back and understand that communication with our dogs is everything!!! It makes all the difference in the world for us and our dogs. If you are thinking about it ….DO IT!!! It took me 6 months to even make the call. I thought Rufus is good and we are okay and really we were not. Both frustrated and I knew there had to be a better way . I needed some freedoms and so did my dog. I only wish I had made the decision sooner to begin a better way for the both of us. Our relationship is so much better and loving than I ever thought it could be. Trust me you will be amazed at the results!!!

Ryan is the best! We contacted Balanced K9 Services to help with our 1 year old Corgi, Gus. Gus really was the definition of a menace before Ryan came along. He has transformed into such a better behaved dog and his training has made our bond with him so much stronger. Once Gus clearly knew what we wanted him to do, he just became a happier dog. Ryan does such a good job explaining what he’s doing during a session and exactly why he’s doing it. He also made sure we were comfortable with every suggestion he made, and offered to find another way if we weren’t. I can’t recommend Ryan enough!

Ryan with Balanced K9 Services did a great job with my 11 month old Australian Sheppard, Surf! It’s obvious he really loves working with dogs and puts a lot into his craft. I was on the fence whether or not to do training since overall, Surf is a good dog with only a few areas needing work (specifically recall). Hindsight, i’m really happy I did. Ryan was able to focus on specific areas requested as well as others I didn’t realize would be helpful (like getting an Aussie to walk in a straight line!). After Surf was trained, Ryan took the time to train me on how to properly communicate and handle different situations/environments with Surf. He continues to check in on progress and provides advice where needed. Lastly, it was nice to deal with one dedicated person throughout the entire process.

Ryan has been amazing with my furry Bernese mountain dog puppy! I am in a wheelchair and have very limited mobility and a super quiet voice. When I got my puppy she was living outside and had very little human contact. She was basically feral. I went through puppy classes and tried my best for three months but I was not able to train her and she was causing injuries and making it very difficult for my caregivers. Ryan came highly recommended. She went to live with him for six months and he taught her basic obedience and also got her to stop being afraid of everything. She grew to love his family and she became very comfortable around people. After he brought her home. He has consistently followed up with us to continue training. It is not easy to get a dog to walk with a wheelchair and follow directions from someone who cannot talk very loud or move to gesture or anything. Ryan totally rose to the challenge. We are only a few weeks into training at home but we are making a lot of progress! Layla absolutely loves it when Ryan comes to help us! Because of Balanced K9 Services I now know that I will be able to keep my beautiful dog for the rest of her life.
