Barks and Rec. Animal Training and Behavior

What a fantastic resource! We enrolled our German Shepherd mix (rescue puppy) in the Pup Scouts program. We have learned so much as dog owners, and our pup is showing noticeable improvement week to week while learning at “school” and enforcing what we’ve been taught at home. The education is so valuable, and the facility is just so cute and fun! It’s a very positive environment, and I’m so grateful our vet encouraged us to go there!

We came to Barks from numerous recommendations for training our deaf chihuahua, Rubin. He came to us w some resource guarding and trauma when we rescued him and he is our first deaf dog. Alicea and Kathy were amazing. They were patient w our guy and with us. Training is just as much for the owner as the dog and we appreciated having someone teach us the best way to handle Rubin’s unique needs. Kathy came to our house for private training after determining that was the best fit for him. We have seen significant improvement in Rubin’s behavior and it was worth every penny spent. We will recommend Barks to anyone in need of support and would choose them again!

I can't praise Barks and Rec. enough. My shy 8-week-old puppy underwent a remarkable transformation in their "pup explorers" class. She was once anxious and scared, but now she loves socializing with other dogs and people, and her confidence has soared during this critical developmental stage. The trainers, especially Alicea and Emma, are not only passionate and professional but also make training an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Barks and Rec. for its dedication to dogs’ well-being and the exceptional socialization and training opportunities they provide.
