Best By Farr Dog Training

We had a great experience with Chris Farr as he trained our 6 year old Pitbull, Domino, and of course, us as dog handlers! Before the 3 week training, Domino was pretty much impossible to walk anywhere without being pulled, dragged and fearful of encounters with other dogs. We were amazed to see how quickly Chris trained Domino to heel, place, come, sit and overall make good choices when walking by other dogs! Chris does an excellent job of establishing a solid and trusting relationship with the dog as well with the owners. So overall, the results are extremely effective.

We did the two week training program and Wow what a difference. We have a nine month old golden retriever who never met a stranger and we were struggling to walk him or get him to respond to any commands. Chris worked his magic!! We can now walk our dog without fear of being pulled or him jumping on others. He’s incredibly talented with his training which includes his follow up with the humans too!! Cannot recommend enough!!

From the introductory meeting through the training and follow up lessons Chris was fantastic to work with. He listened to our concerns, asked us for specific scenarios we wanted to work through with our dog and addressed each concern with detailed feedback for us. He balanced his approach to what he believed would work best for our dog and the challenges we thought needed the most attention. His communication to us throughout the board and training documented progress and kept us informed on how our dog was doing. I’d happily recommend him for anyone needing help with their dog and could see myself coming back to him in the future.

Chris did an amazing job with our Bernadoodle puppy. Before we took her to Chris, I could not get her to walk on a leash, she would not come when called you would have to chase her. It was very frustrating especially when you’re trying to get out the door. It was tough having her around our friends and their kids -she would jump on them and it was just a big challenge. I was at my breaking point with this dog and I’ve had dogs my entire life and I’ve never struggled this much. After Three weeks in Chris’s puppy school she’s like a completely different dog. I love walking her now and my kids can walk her. She can stay in place while we’re playing in the backyard without jumping on the kids. Chris also taught me how to continue her training even after the puppy school And also, he’s available if you have questions. I’m so glad we did this. It was such a great decision to take her to Chris - I can’t recommend him enough!
