After initially meeting with a trainer who wasn’t the right fit, I felt completely discouraged and unsure where to turn. Finding Annie at Best Life K9 Training was an absolute game-changer and blessing. From our very first conversation, I was at ease. I felt immediate relief and confidence that we had found the right place for our pup. Annie’s training style is thoughtful, strategic, and incredibly effective (honestly, it's amazing). We enrolled our puppy in the Puppy Stages six-week board and train program, and after just the first two-week session, we saw a significant and very positive difference in our puppy’s behavior. The results spoke for themselves right away. One of the things I appreciated most is that Annie trains dogs in her home, treating each puppy like part of her family or pack. That level of care and intention truly sets Best Life K9 apart. The program is designed brilliantly; while it’s six weeks total, the training is broken into two-week intervals spread across the puppy’s first year of life. This approach recognizes that training isn’t a one-and-done event, but an evolving process as your puppy grows and as you as the owner learn. Each week, we dropped our puppy off on Monday and picked him up on Friday, which allowed us to spend the weekends bonding with him and practicing what Annie taught us before returning him the following Monday. This structure made it easy for us, as owners, to stay engaged and successful in reinforcing the training at home. While Monday drop offs worked best for us, Annie and her team are very accommodating in scheduling the sessions. Annie is deeply caring, professional, and incredibly patient, with both dogs and their humans. I trust Annie explicitly with our puppy, which says a lot because I do not trust easily, especially when it comes to our dog. But it’s clear they genuinely care for dogs as if they were their own. We will absolutely continue using Best Life K9 Training throughout our dog’s life, not just for puppy training. Annie truly delivers results. I often call her our “dog whisperer”, our pup adores her, looks forward to his training weeks, and is genuinely excited to see her! If you’re considering Best Life K9 Training, don’t hesitate. I could write 10 pages about how great Annie is but I'll keep it simple for people looking for reviews. 1) My dog was starting to show some reactivity that was making us all nervous and we were so worried we might have to re-home her or have her never interact with anyone else 2) I had a consult at another place and left feeling pressured and that we had a blood thirsty monster on our hands 3) I met Annie for a consultation and by the end I wanted to cry I was so relieved. She reassured me that Phoebe is a sweet girl and gave us some drills to that immediately helped. 4) Annie did not pressure me and in fact told me I didn't need the most expensive package I thought I did. (I decided to purchase extra visits with her anyway and am so glad I did) 5) Phoebe and I are making great progress and have been able to hang out off leash with my friends and my in-laws and their dog without any issues. I feel so relieved and am looking forward to continuing to do the work with Phoebe and see what she can do.
