My fiancé and I couldn’t be more pleased with the exceptional service provided by Beyond the Dog. We are especially grateful to our trainer, Shelby—her dedication, expertise, and genuine care made a lasting impression on both us and our dog, HoneyBun. Most importantly, HoneyBun absolutely adored her! Thanks to Shelby’s guidance, HoneyBun has made remarkable progress and is truly a transformed dog. The only downside is that we know he’ll miss her dearly! If you’re considering this service for your dog, don’t hesitate—it’s an investment you won’t regret.

I seriously can’t say enough amazing things about this program (22 hour reactivity training), it was exactly what I needed and then some. Shelby helped my dog get to a place I honestly didn’t think was possible. I used to be embarrassed to take him out in public, and now I look forward to taking him places and watching people be so impressed with how well behaved he is. What I really loved was she acknowledged that we weren’t just covering up reactivity with obedience, we were truly training OUT the reactivity. On top of everything, Shelby was always incredibly supportive, patient, and responsive. Whether it was answering my 5000 questions or coming up with different solutions when things weren’t going well, she was always there. As someone who is ALWAYS working, this was the perfect program for me. My dog got the training he needed without me needing to be there for every session, however I still felt appropriately involved with the once weekly sessions. My schedule is also super complicated and the scheduler (and Shelby) were super accommodating which I really appreciated. Again, I can’t say enough good things!

Shyenne, our trainer, was absolutely wonderful in getting our new puppy, Winnie to be a respectable member of our family. When we called Beyond the Dog, Winnie was jumping on everyone, refusing to go potty outside and dragging us down the street on walks. Using non-shock/pain tactics, they taught us how to redirect her behavior and our family is now confident in how to address new behaviors as they arise. Can’t recommend them and Sheyenne enough!

I adopted Hazel from a shelter, a 5 ½ yr old Australian Cattle Dog/ Retriever/Husky, mix, and knew she would need some training. I wanted in home training instead of dropping her off at a facility. I did not want to add any additional stress to her life since she had been returned to the shelter many times. She was highly reactive to other dogs, cats, school busses, UPS, FEDX, Amazon, etc. When the neighbor’s dog, who was NOT on a leash, came barking at us and towards us, Hazel got out of her collar and harness and went after the dog. I was now afraid to take Hazel for a walk for fear of what she would do. That is when I contacted Beyond the Dog for help and enrolled in the Executive program, 16-hours of training. Upon first meeting Shelby, I knew she was the trainer for us. Hazel really liked her and I felt very confident with the success we would have. Shelby has a great understanding of how to train dogs with a loving and caring attitude. Shelby not only had to train Hazel but also me, LOL. She always showed Hazel Love and affection and gave Hazel praise while instilling corrections. She also had a lot of patience and understanding with me. Every Friday I received an email with the lesson notes and lesson times for the upcoming week. If I had any questions on the weekends, I could always text Shelby. After all of our hours of training from Shelby, along with the new collar and harness, I feel confident in taking Hazel for walks again. Hazel no longer lunges at the school bus, garbage trucks or vans. I also feel more confident when I open the door to visitors. Hazel now sits and waits for them to enter our home instead of jumping up to greet them. I will continue to work with Hazel and improve on everything she has learned from Shelby. If I ever feel a need for additional training for Hazel, I would absolutely contact Beyond the Dog and request Shelby. I would also highly recommend Shelby and at home training with Beyond the Dog. Lindsey is the best! She worked a miracle with our dog Emma. We adopted Emma from Madisonville Animal Shelter. When she was a puppy, she was abandoned in a house with her siblings. The neighbors called animal control to let them know about abandoned puppies in the house. However, the new owner arrived and shot Emma's puppy siblings in front of her. Animal control officers showed up right as the new owner was about to kill Emma and her last remaining sister. They took Emma and her sister to their outdoor no kill shelter where she stayed for 8 months. Because of Emma's trauma and her isolation at the shelter, she had a lot of fear issues when we adopted her. Her first night with us was her first time being in a house since the one she was abandoned in. It was hard getting her through doorways because she had a lot of fear. We decided to call Beyond the Dog right away. Lindsey came and spent a lot of time working with her. It took a week for Emma to let her get near her. Lindsey was very dedicated to winning her over. She was so patient and wonderful with her. Emma came out of her shell and Lindsey was able to work with her on basic commands and on getting her out around people. Emma built a strong bond with Lindsey and was excited by Lindsey's visits and even gave her kisses. One of my big worries with Emma was getting her to a vet and letting them give her shots. At the beginning, I could not see how that would have been possible. She had a lot of trust issues. She was very fearful of men (even my dad). Lindsey worked on socializing her and getting her out in public around people. At the end of the training program, Lindsey came with us to the vet and we got to watch Emma get shots from the vet. Our vet was even very impressed by Lindsey and the Beyond the Dog. Now that Emma is finished with training, she has a lot of confidence and even goes up to people. Lindsey truly trains with love. We are very thankful for all her time and effort with Emma.
