I cannot recommend Joe enough to train your dog! We did e-collar training, one session per week, for about 4 weeks. We were desperate for help when we came to Joe and I was skeptical the training would work (given the severity of our rescue's behavioral issues). But, as promised, after the month our dog was able to be completely off leash with good recall (that is still improving). We also used the e-collar to help train away some impulsive behaviors. Our life with our dog went from constant stress to planning fun days together. Use Joe - he knows what he is doing and is very patient, kind and understanding!

I am so grateful for Black Diamond Dog Company-- my pup and I completed a private session with Joe, as well as some of the puppy training classes with Joe and Tina. If you are needing help with training your dog, or want to get off on the right foot with a new puppy, I would happily and wholeheartedly recommend both services. Private training was extremely helpful, and Joe is a kind and encouraging teacher, who was quick on his feet as he determined the best course of training for my sensitive pup. And puppy class was a huge help as well! Each week, we left with at least one assignment, and even in the context of a group, instruction was individualized. Joe and Tina went above and beyond to help my dog with socialization in class, modifications of homework as needed, and personalized advice for me as I worked to train my pup to the best of my ability. I have seen such a huge change in my puppy over the course of three months, and in myself as a trainer and handler. I am feeling much more confident and present, and I owe so much of that to Black Diamond Dog Company.

Joe was beyond incredible with e-collar training my crazy cattle dog, Finley! He was patient, kind, and understanding of her and all her flaws and worked with us both to help her. She is a completely new dog in the best way possible and it has transformed my relationship with her. She is incredibly reliable off leash now and even without the use of the e-collar, she has made great strides. I could not recommend Joe enough and he truly had both me and Finley’s best interest in mind all throughout our training! Thank you so much!

I highly recommend Joe for the dog training!! He’s a true dog whisperer and wonderful dog trainer who is kind, professional, hard working, and cares about the dogs and cares what he does! In the past I have had multiple dog trainers, but he’s the best!! So far I have had 4 private sessions and one week of Board and train with Joe for my new puppy. My puppy is behaving much better with his training. I am so glad I found him!
