Mark was a pleasure to deal with he did a great job training our 10 month old chocolate lab puppy, I’ve had multiple labs over the years and this one I just couldn’t handle so I sent him to Mark for the basic retriever school which includes obedience and I got back a different dog and I mean that in a good way. Moose is now a pleasure to walk on a leash, he minds off the leash and we are looking forward to dove and duck season this fall. Communication throughout the 4 months was always spot on and the weekly progress videos were great. Highly recommend Black Belt Retrievers

We brought our English Springer Spaniel, Callie, to Brandon when she was 7 months old for his 3-month hunting training program, and we couldn't be happier with the results. During her time with him, she built a great foundation in obedience, reliably responding to commands like sit, heel, and recall. Beyond obedience, Brandon did an outstanding job developing her hunting abilities. She confidently retrieves bumpers from both the field and the lake, and it was amazing to see how much her confidence and drive had grown. Watching her work was a testament to the time and dedication Brandon put into her training. One thing that really stood out was how much she genuinely enjoyed working with him. When we picked her up, it was obvious she was excited and eager to train. Seeing her enthusiasm and the bond she had built with Brandon gave us a lot of confidence that she had been well cared for throughout the program. Brandon was also incredibly welcoming and hospitable to our family. We stayed at the lodge on the property when we dropped Callie off and again when we picked her up and it made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We truly appreciate Brandon's professionalism, patience, and dedication. If you're looking for someone who can develop both a well-mannered companion and a capable hunting dog, I highly recommend his hunting training.
