I had my black Lab trained by KC Retrievers at the Great Lakes Facility with Anthony Cavalli-Singer. I have nothing but great things to say, you get a complete gun dog, ready to go. On top of that, you receive weekly videos showcasing progress and the steps to developing a well-rounded dog. Anthony also takes the time to answer any questions you have and explains everything thoroughly. Whether you’re looking for hunt test training or just a fantastic hunting partner, I would recommend Anthony any day.

Gunner was the second dog we have sent to Mark and Brandon at Blackbelt Retrievers and they are super knowledgeable and welcoming when it comes to asking questions and setting up visits with your dog. I sent Gunner there for obedience and basic retriever training and he was there for about 8 months. It was not easy dropping him off but once I got there and realized how much fun the dog would have there and how cool the guys were it made everything much easier. I was blown away with how well Gunner listens and his drive to want to go retrieve. If you are thinking about sending your dog don’t wait any longer and go ahead and send them. You won’t regret it.

I’ve seen other dogs from them, when it was time for us to get a new pup I knew this was the place I needed to go to, and I knew their training methods worked. We got a pup born in Sept 2024. He went to Obedience training for two months at 6mo old. I was very worried about him leaving so literally every weekend, on Friday we would drive 2 1/2 hours to go get him one way or 5 hrs round trip, for the weekend, and bring him back by 9 AM each Monday . He was never unhappy, I think we were just scared because this dog is part of our family. We were worried maybe it would alter his personality, but he never missed a beat. He just learned ….came home and was more mature. Night and day, from the beginning, we knew this dog was amazing to begin with, but After obedience, I can go on a walk without him being on a leash. I can tell him to sit, and be patient until I do other things, we have him at our business daily and in the lobby, I can go tell him to go to his place, which is underneath my desk in my office, and he goes immediately. He is extremely loving, very loyal, and wants to please. He is protective, but I can tell him to be at ease and he settles right down. We are looking forward to returning this fall for more hunting training! I tell everyone, buy only from Mark and Brandon!!! #bestdogsever
