Blue Ridge Canine Academy

As an owner of an Airedale Terrier, I know firsthand what "selective hearing" really means — and if you've ever owned a Terrier, you know exactly what I'm talking about. My dog Baxter is a high-energy, joyful, genuinely good dog, but true to his breed, he had a way of deciding when the rules applied to him. After his board and train program at Blue Ridge Canine Academy this past July, I can honestly say it has been life-changing — for both of us. Cameron and Courtney worked closely with Baxter for the entire month, and the transformation I witnessed was remarkable. Week by week, session by session, I saw real, measurable improvements. No more worrying about my arm being yanked out of its socket on walks. No more being flat-out ignored. And best of all — Baxter didn't lose a single ounce of his personality or spark. He's still the joyful, spirited dog I love. He's just learned when it's time to work and when it's time to play. What truly set this experience apart was how Cameron and Courtney invested in me as much as they did in Baxter. They checked in on how things were going, asked what we needed help with, and explained everything in a way that helped me understand how Baxter thinks — which in turn helped me understand how to be a better partner to him. The bond we've built since his stay has been incredible, and we're continuing to grow on the strong foundation they laid for us. If you're even considering this program, just do it. You will not regret it. I can't thank Cameron and Courtney enough for everything they've done for us.
