FirstBarkOur rescue, Champ had a few issues from being in a shelter long term. (Most of his life). Cameron and staff were great with him and us and he is such a "Champ" now. We love the group walks for ongoing support, too.

Cameron and his staff trained our dog with board and train. We attend brush up sessions and Hank listens and responds like no other dog we have owned. The only thing better than owning a dog is owning a dog that listens. I wholeheartedly recommend Cameron and his crew to get the job done. They really know the correct way to train dogs. We couldn’t be happier !
Blue Ridge K9 Academy is the absolute best!! We did the board and train program with our dog Hank. After training, he is the most well behaved dog we have ever had. We can take him anywhere!!! The follow up classes are great, and a really good way to keep up with his training.

Five stars are not nearly enough… Cameron and Courtney at Blue Ridge Canine Academy are nothing short of AMAZING! My family found Cameron back in January after calling a few different trainers about our Belgian Mal we had just brought home. Cameron was my last hope at learning to live with a Mal after the trainers I spoke to before had me convinced she could not be kept as our family dog. Our girl Mia came to us with some reactivity and a lack of obedience at the age of 1yr 4mon. For those that may not know the breed, Mals are super smart and love to work so you need a committed trainer not only for the dog but also for the human! On our first day at the consultation Mia came out of our Jeep at mock Jesus ready to intimidate and bully Cameron. Cameron evaluated our girl and was upfront from the get go with us. All of our questions were answered and we committed to training with him. Fast forward to almost a year later and Mia with the help of Blue Ridge Canine Academy is now our family dog. She is requires continuous training and is still learning to navigate this life with me but I would not trust our training in the hands of anyone else!! We have improved our obedience and she has improved her reactivity! She is now on her way to learning protection sport, tracking, and all things working dog! Incredible Results! If you are looking for a dog trainer I wholeheartedly recommend Cameron and Blue Ridge Canine Academy (BRCA). I took my 14 month old Shiloh Shepard “Anja” to BRCA and am more than satisfied with what they provided. When I first took Anja to BRCA, she was a very excited (and strong) dog and didn’t care much for listening. By the end she had become an almost perfect lady. She learned and mastered the commands-sit, down, stay and place. I can take her on walks now and not worry about her pulling my arm out of socket. She stays at my side and is focused on my instructions. I recently took her to Tractor Supply and as we were leaving another large dog came in. I walked Anja right past the other dog, reminding her to stay “With Me”, and she did! It was amazing. There is no way the situation would have gone so well without the training she’d received from Cameron. My only regret is not finding BRCA sooner.
