My 85 pound puppy had basic training before I adopted him, but I became a more confident owner with their help. The group walks were amazing and it was so helpful to see different types of dog personalities and how to adjust to my own dog's needs in different situations. I cannot recommend them!

I highly recommend Blue Ridge Canine Academy. Cameron is a highly skilled dog trainer. Each class we learn a little something new and eventually all these pieces of the puzzle begin to fit together! I tried more than one obedience club and series of private lessons. I just wasn't making any progress with my reactive German Shepherd. Then someone recommended BRCA and everything changed! Cameron and his team took the time to observe my dog and instantly understood her; but more importantly, they worked with me, over time, to change my habits that were not serving my dog well. At BRCA, behavior mod. is for owners and their dogs. And that worked out way better than dropping her off for a two-week board and stay with limited training for me. His price is more than fair and his commitment to well-handled dogs--trained to do well in the specific contexts of their owners' daily lives--is unparalleled.

We started with puppy lessons in November 2022 for our super energetic sheepadoodle, Daisy. Since then she came a long way and is able to handle public outings, family walks, and meeting other dogs, without a lot of redirecting. Cameron is knowledgeable and direct. It was very helpful to have her training adjusted to her needs and our life style. We continue to go to group walks/lessons to keep her skills sharp, and Daisy loves going to school with all the big kids. Overall, it has been a great experience and we wholeheartedly recommend Blue Ridge Canine Academy to anyone looking to get their dog well trained and well behaved.
Cameron has been amazing working with our 7 year old bully. We adopted him from a rescue over a year ago and he has been a bit of a project dog. Cameron has answered all of our questions and helped us work through so many problems. We are very grateful to have such a wonderful dog trainer and I look forward to continuing to work with him.
