Derek is an amazing trainer! We met with a few trainers and he was really the only one who wanted to work through play as opposed to punishments or treats. Our dog was a high strung one year old who continually barked and tried to herd all guests out of our house. She wouldn’t let people pet her and got snippy when they tried. She was impossible to walk and fiercely protective of our home and family. Only four lessons later and she is much more even tempered. She is a pleasure to walk and is doing really well when we have company over. She is even letting others pet her! She seems so much happier and calmer. All of this was done through playtime/walktime and the reward they represented. Our own bond with our dog has definitely gotten stronger/better. I can’t thank Derek enough… the change in our dog is noticeable to us and others. I highly recommend him and his services!

I contacted Blueprint K9 for a dog who is almost 5 years old. I truly thought that there was nothing I could do for him as far as making him behave and learn. I was wrong. Our dog Cooper had 4 lessons with Derek and I feel like I have a new dog. I love that he came to our home for a lesson for Cooper to be in his own environment. Derek was wonderful working with Cooper. He was kind and patient and firm. I realized that I needed training as much as Cooper! Thank you for everything. I would highly recommend anyone with a dog to seek training with your dog.
