UPDATED 2-2-25: We loved what BlueprintK9 was able to accomplish with our original training sessions with dog. We decided to opt for the Board and Train with Derek. Zion was approaching his "adolescent phase" and beginning to test the limits with us. He worked through everything from basic obedience to off leash training. To our surprise, we received all items used on Zion for his training. This includes: • Long training leash • Training Chain for correction • E-Collar I would highly recommend Derek to anyone who is looking to get their dog to be the most well behaved, attentive pet.

We just completed six weeks of training with Derek and had an awesome experience. Our day-to-day relationship with our dog Rocket has improved exponentially! Prior to training with Derek our home was filled with gates and Rocket was being crated more than we liked for management purposes — we couldn’t even relax as a family to enjoy a movie or dinner without removing her from the equation. Derek taught us foundational commands and how to lead her calmly with intention. Now Rocket is fully integrated into our home which has been incredibly rewarding and exactly what we hoped. We plan to continue building Rocket’s (and our) skills in new environments, and to book more training with Derek this summer!
Derek did an excellent job with our dog Barney. He is a lovable black lab that needed help with manners and recall. He spent two weeks with Derek and Barney is now a perfect gentleman. Derek was always kind and gentle with Barney and never made him feel afraid. So grateful for his help and highly recommend him!

Working with Derek was exactly what we needed! Ruth is a puppy mill rescue. She came to us very scared, lacking confidence and more than likely abused. We found ourselves not having the ability to put Ruth in a position to succeed. Ruth had so many walls that were built up for survival. Derek did an amazing job building her trust, and teaching her not only obedience, but making Ruth become a much more confident dog. With us he was very impactful in teaching us how to deal with certain behaviors, creating boundaries and how to achieve an obedient dog. Very thankful to have worked with Derek and have recommended him to many already. The entire family is having a great experience with Ruth now. Not only is Ruth a dog with much improved behavior and obedience, but we have become better dog owners.
