What a great experience working with Derek! He is a dog whisperer but also an owner whisperer too. Our pups learned basic commands to give me the confidence to be a better owner and put rules in place for our dogs to understand their roles too. Our home had become unsettled with small dog fights but now it is calm. And when their environment gets disruptive, I now know the signs and actions required to settle everyone down to not have an issue. Thank you Derek, you are a treasure.

Derek is the absolute best! Scout & I are so grateful to have worked with him! I was frustrated with my lack of control over my awesome Golden Retriever… Derek gave us great training & tips on how to have a dog who doesn’t pull while on a walk, who plays well and knows when playtime is done, doesn’t jump on people and stays in place when company comes and stays non-reactive when other dogs are around. I highly recommend him to all of my friends who have unruly dogs. His training is the best you can do for yourself and your dog!

Derek is a magnificent dog trainer, coach and overall person. I highly recommend him and his services. He helped my sister and I understand our dogs better and taught us how to be better leaders for our dogs. The humans definitely needed the help and Derek was there to give us the tools and guide us to be successful. I learned a lot from his private lessons and have an appreciation for the depth of his knowledge that he has for dogs and training. We have a multi dog home and our two boys have gotten into scuffles and fights the last year. We reached out to Derek for help to have a neutral home since we were out of our depth and we worked on obedience with both dogs and figured out the best plan to aim towards having both dogs neutral in our home. Brodie, our brindle shepherd mix, excelled with Derek's help and our lessons. I look forward to getting some more classes in the future for e-collar training so we can go off leash hiking.
