Bold City K9

We cannot say enough good things about Courtney and Bold City K9. Our beloved 6 year old dog had started to pick up some bad habits with aging - excessive barking, leash pulling, and unpredictably mouthing off at other dogs on walks. We began to dread walking in the neighborhood in fear that he would embarrass us. We decided it was time to do something but had our doubts given his age. Huey attended the 4 week program and has come back with a new lease on life. Upon getting our sweet & loving boy back we were in shock. It hasn’t even been a week and we are confidently walking off leash around the neighborhood, have had multiple, extremely pleasant interactions with dogs that used to trigger him and are loving seeing how confident he has become. Courtney was such a joy to work with. Constantly keeping us updated during his stay with pictures and videos. Seeing how Huey took to her was so adorable too - the loyalty! She proved us wrong - you can teach an old dog new tricks! It just takes time, effort, and a little extra love. We definitely plan to take advantage of boarding Huey at Bold City K9 for refreshers when we travel. Thank you Courtney from the bottom of our hearts!

We researched quite a few trainers here in Jacksonville, but what really sold us on Bold City K9 was how they make your pet part of their own family. Brittni was our trainer that took our boy Goose home with her for 4 weeks, and she was amazing!!! She taught our crazy/loud/reactive boy how to settle & behave in public, and he came home a completely different dog. He still had the same quirks and goofy personality that we loved, but was much less anxious and way more responsive to commands. Also, the bond Brittni made with him after just 4 weeks was evident by how sad he was to say goodbye to her on his graduation day. We are looking forward to all the follow up lessons we will have with Brittni, and excited to continue to learn and grow with Goose!

Courtney is an absolutely incredible dog trainer! My 7 month old puppy went to her 4 week program and it made such a difference! Since completing the program, he no longer pulls on the leash, he goes into his crate without complaint and he doesn't bother when I'm eating. He used to go crazy on walks when we would see other dogs or people and now he just calmly sits himself down and until other people or dogs pass by us. I'm so excited that Courtney wants to be a part of my dogs training throughout his life. Thank you Bold City K9!

Courtney has been an exceptional dog trainer for my dog who would not stop barking at every noise. My year and a half old puppy is an extremely nervous and scared dog. I enrolled him into her immersion program and she has worked miracles. She is so gentle with him and helped him gain so much confidence. He used to bark at every dog and person we passed on walks and now he knows how to handle these distractions and his stress. He was also pulling on every walk and now knows how to walk much better. I feel the immersion program is the best way to train your dog. It has helped me set some baseline rules at home. I can't say enough about Courtney's training abilities. Courtney reviewed with me what she had taught my dog. Her continuity and consistency are so important to help my dog learn and retain appropriate behaviors. She also gave me suggestions on types of travel crates for the car and even helped me with where to place my crate in my house. I can't believe the difference in my puppy.
