Bold City K9

I don't know that I can say enough wonderful things about Bold City K9. We dropped off our reactive, chicken-eating, aggressively playful 7 month old pitbull mix (Dixie), but after training with Courtney for six weeks now have a gentle, well-mannered, calm, and responsive puppy. Our dog is so much happier and calmer because of the boundaries that Courtney has taught our dog, as well as us as her owners. Before Courtney, Dixie would pull on the leash so vigorously and would play so roughly with our children, that I didn't look forward to our walks and it was difficult for our children to play with her. After coming home from Courtney's, we were able to go on a beautiful walk together where Dixie didn't pull on her leash, and our son was able to play catch and tug-of-war with her in the backyard. Now I can see a future for Dixie that is much brighter, where we can go on many adventures together because of the training that she had at Bold City K9. I truly could not recommend them enough.

I got Juno after she was abandoned at a dog park, and from day one, she was pure, lovable chaos. She was so fearful and unruly that it felt like she didn’t understand English— we tried Spanish, French, and German — but actually, she didn’t seem to understand any words at all! After a month of trying everything we could think of, we realized we needed an expert, and that’s when we turned to Bold City K9 and Courtney. I was nervous about sending Juno away, but Courtney quickly put my mind at ease with her reassurance and updates on Juno’s progress. Juno stayed for six weeks instead of the planned four (she’s a little “extra special,” and there was a hurricane to contend with!), and Courtney’s dedication truly went above and beyond. Juno was a small animal (cats) and bird chaser, spooked by strangers, and easily scared of random objects, but thanks to Courtney, her prey drive for small animals has subsided, we’ve gained skills to help her grow comfortable around strangers, and she’s learned how to handle distractions and unfamiliar things out in public. When it was time to bring Juno home, Courtney trained us too, giving us the tools we needed to be the best handlers for her. Thanks to Bold City K9, Juno is still her goofy self, but now she’s less fearful, more responsive, and safe — and because of this, our relationship with Juno will deepen. Courtney and I already have plans for follow-up lessons to keep Juno’s training on track, which I’m excited about because I know Juno will only keep improving with her guidance. If you’re looking for a program that truly cares about your dog’s well-being and safety, I can’t recommend Bold City K9 enough. Courtney really does “speak dog” and will make you a better pet parent, just as she did for us and Juno. Thank you, Courtney, for working your magic on our chaotic fluffball!

I chose to use Bold City K9 for the Puppy Raising Program for Winston, my Male GSP Puppy. After completing all of his training sessions it was most definitely worth it. After every session Winston’s progress was so obvious. Courtney and Gavin were always there to answer questions and meet up for refresher lessons in between his board and train sessions. For Winston being a young high energy dog breed his obedience and training skills are top notch. They also give dog owners the tools and knowledge you need to continue training on your own at home. So I couldn’t recommend Bold City K9 enough.

I highly recommend Bold city for training and board. Courtney and her team have went above and beyond to help with my GSP Hank. He started with them as a puppy and did a 12 week program that I can say was amazing. Hank does everything and more than he was trained to do and I give them all the credit. Anyone looking for a trainer who actually works with you and your pet that you get get results from should give them a call. My nephew used Bold city and is beyond happy with his GSP’s training as well.

Bold city K9 is a must if you have a new pup! I struggled for months with my Husky/GSD mix, Courtney at Bold city K9 was able to completely turn things around for us. The 4 week board and train is a must, she gives you all the tools you need to have an amazing dog. We went from struggling to walk our girl anywhere to being able to let her off leash at the beach and park to run free like a dog should! The life time follow up lessons included with the board and train are great, Courtney follows up after the training is technically over so you can really tell she cares about how the training is going and is not looking to just get people in and out. Bold City K9 is a 10/10, my parents will also be taking their new puppy for the board and train in a few months. I would highly recommend, they are super responsive throughout the training and send tons of updates which was great!
