Boss K9

We got Loki, Austrian cattle dog/German Shepard mix, back in March of 2020 from the Humane Society. He was about a year old and very disobedient. He would jump up on everyone and bite everyones arms without clamping down. When put into his crate, he would bark and cry until we let him out. He was uncontrollable and no matter what we did, he would not listen. He was a nightmare and it was very frustrating. A lot of people in my family were afraid of him and wanted to take him back to the pound. I refused and we set out to find someone that can help us train him. We found Boss K9 and I talked to Anna. Just by our conversation over the phone I could tell that she knew what she was doing. We decided on a 4 week board and train and off Loki went. I was given thorough weekly updates and could even see a lot of Loki's progress on Instagram. After his four weeks, Loki came back a completely different dog. He is very obedient and listens to what we tell him. He rarely ever jumps on people and when he does we discipline him immediately and he listens. The best part is that Anna came with Loki for his return and showed me what to do and how the training works, which is excellent. She also came back a week later for a check up and we were able to work on some things. Loki has been back for about a month and a half now and he has become a lot of my family members favorite dog. I cannot put into words how amazing Anna and her crew at Boss K9 are. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would and I am not one to give out praise very easily. If you have a dog that needs even a small amount of training, Boss K9 is absolutely for you!

Highly recommend Boss K9! I started my Papillon 2 month old puppy with Anna & we love her! We decided to go with he at-home training package where Anna comes to our house weekly to train! Anna is SO patient, especially with my high energy, low attention pup! It was amazing to watch Anna introduce commands to such a young puppy, all positive reinforcement, with patience! We are about half-way through our training, and I decided to send Piper to Anna while we were out of town for boarding. Beautiful facility, CLEAN, & functional for dog training! Piper was only there for 2 days & I noticed a huge difference! She was very attentive, calm, and waiting for her next command! We love Anna, highly recommend to anyone with a puppy or any type of dog issues! She is amazing to work with & we will write another review once we finish our full package of training! Anna and her crew have been life changing. Our dog Vyvyan suffered from severe dog reactivity and aggressive behaviors with our other senior dog. Boss K9 was our fourth effort at training. Two were positive only and the third utilized corrective only training techniques. We spent several thousand dollars between training and medications over a year and a half. Vyvyan is very food motivated and very smart despite her anxiety, but needed to learn that bad behavior wasn't acceptable. When we sent her to Boss K9 for a four week board and train, she was on two different medications, which we had tapered down from four (!!) at one point. We would have to time when we left the house and how long we would be gone so as not to disrupt her medication schedule.. She hasn't taken or needed a med since the day she arrived at Boss k9! We went in with realistic expectations that there wasn't going to be a magic bullet, but with time, patience, and the follow up sessions that come with a board and train package we have gotten to a place where Vyv can finally live her best life. Anna does not use a one size fits all model, and she has worked so hard with us to find the right techniques that work for Vyvyan. We are extremely satisfied with our investment!

I have an 8ish year old American English Coonhound named Hank and he has some severe car anxiety and some separation anxiety, or I guess I should say "had!" I found Anna and BossK9 on Instagram and reached out to see if she could help me get Hank into a better mindset when we get in the car to go places. He used to howl like a madman due to his excitement and anxiety in the car, to the point that someone once called the police on me while I was driving him to the Rocky River dog park. After 8 weekly sessions with Anna and some work at home, I just completed a 3000+ mile roadtrip from Cleveland to Houston, to New Orleans, and back, all with the dog peacefully snoozing in the backseat! He will even walk right by my side, off-leash, and it's all thanks to Anna and her balanced training techniques!
