Boss K9

If I had to describe my dog Erie it would be difficult to choose just one word. Because Erie is complex. She is a walking oxymoron. She is charismatic and rude. Loyal and stubborn. Smart and well….kind of stupid. From the moment we met Erie we knew she wasn’t going to be an ‘easy’ dog. We joke now that we honestly anticipated life with Erie to be challenging. She would pick up commands as quick as you could teach them, and then willfully ignore them while staring you dead in the eye. We knew very early on that Erie would need some ‘professional help’ and Boss K9 was exactly what we were looking for. The trainers understood Erie and her complexities. They saw her for exactly who she was, and met her exactly where she was. Erie was 4 months old when we officially became part of the Boss K9 family and all of the work and time that Anna and the team invested in her has payed off ten-fold. Erie is almost 2 now and is a truly solid dog, thanks to those early interventions and socialization. Don’t get me wrong, Erie still has problem behaviors, and she always will because there’s no such thing as a perfect dog. Erie will always be pushy and needy, but what’s different is that we were given the knowledge and tools to restore the balance and boundaries she needs as those problems arise. So if you were looking for a sign that this is the trainer for you, this is it. Your dog spends its entire life with you. Your dog is worth the investment and they deserve a team like the one Anna has created. Life with Erie is surprisingly easy now, and we credit it all to them, and if the opportunity should ever arise I would not hesitate to work with them in the future.

I'm fortunate enough that my sweet girl, Daisy, didn't have too many bad habits. However, after a year of having her, I knew as a first time dog owner, there were challenges we were facing that could potentially spiral out of control if *I* didn't learn what she needed to succeed from me. Enter BossK9! Daisy did a 3 week Board and Stay, where the team really got to know what it is that makes Daisy's brain tic. I told myself I wouldn't get a border collie, but I ended up with a super smart working dog all the same ;) She's still independent and clever as ever, but now I know she'll respond to my calls and what she looks for to be challenged. I would absolutely recommend BossK9 to anyone who even needs to learn the basics with their loving family member <3

I highly Recommend BossK9!! I connected with Anna back in 2019 with my papillon puppy Piper. I sent Piper to BossK9's board & train for 2 weeks and was SO impressed. The facility is clean, inviting, & she has wonderful staff! Since then, I have rescued a Border Collie / Australian Shepard Mix and Anna has been supporting/ helping me since I picked her up. I love how Anna provides realistic expectations & integrates a schedule for our dogs and what works for our household. She is honest, professional, and she truly cares about the pups she trains. I am looking forward to sending our new pup Demi to her board & train in a couple of months! If you're looking for dog training, this is the BEST place in CLE!

My wife and I worked with Anna for initial puppy classes for our Bernese Mountain Dog. Anna was amazing with Jura, and we were able to do the classes right in our backyard. Fast forward a few months later, and as soon as Jura was old enough we enrolled her in the two-week board and train course. Although we were a little apprehensive about being away from our puppy for two weeks, it was the best decision we made for both us and Jura. Her off-leash training has given her access and quality of life that we'll always be grateful to Anna and her team for providing us. We're routinely asked in public settings (we take her everywhere we can) how we get Jura to behave so well, and we're quick to recommend Boss K9 whenever the question is raised. We have, and will continue to use Boss K9 for day boarding and eventually with some training to prepare for Canine Good Citizen. Anna and her team care deeply about the dogs they work with, and there has never been a doubt that working with them has been the absolute best call.
