Buckeye K9 is very familiar with the therapy dog training class as well as the therapy dog certification test. Buckeye K9 prepares the dog and the owner by training both on the necessary capabilities required for the therapy dog training class and certification test. After a period with Buckeye K9, you will graduate out of Buckeye K9, ready to enroll in therapy dog classes that culminate with a therapy dog certification test.

Yes! They can do service dog training. I highly recommend Lori and her staff for any training needs. I've use her a few times and have recommended to friends who have had awesome results. In fact, her business has my newest member of the family as I write this!

My dog Abbey does great with commands in the house and did good outside until a couple months ago. Now she wants to bolt when you take her outside, what can I do?
We would want to put off leash control on your dog so if she tries to run off you can have full control of her and call her back to you.

Do they help with older dogs who have behavior issues as well as potty issues?

Kodak had a wonderful time at Buckeye K9! This was my first time boarding him since I moved to OH so I was nervous about finding a new boarding/grooming facility capable of handling a dog of his size and nature. He is dog aggressive and hates having his nails trimmed, but they were able to handle him regardless and gave him the best bath he’s ever gotten! A lot of pet facilities don’t take aggressive dogs, so I was very grateful that this place was open to caring for all kinds of dogs. They were even able to clip his nails which I know is no easy feat. Now I can go on trips fear free knowing he will be properly cared for while I’m gone. Thank you to Buckeye K9!
So glad I found this place! After a bad experience with another boarding facility I was worried about boarding my dog. But I was more than happy with my experience with K9. They sent us pictures while we were away and seemed to care well for our dog! Will be going back.

I brought my German Shepherd in today for an evaluation, and I couldn't be more impressed. My dog is extremely protective of me and has not done well during previous training evaluations and I almost gave up on finding a trainer. Today was completely different. Mark was the first man my dog has ever shown very minimal reactivity toward. He even allowed Mark to remove his muzzle and pet him without a single reaction. My boy also encountered a few kennel technicians and remained calm the entire time. As someone who treats my dog like family, leaving him with strangers has always been a huge fear of mine and made me literally sick just thinking about it, he’s my baby. After today's evaluation, I left feeling confident, relieved, and excited for what's ahead. The energy, patience, and professionalism with Mark was truly amazing. Lori was very responsive and on top of everything to get him set up and very sweet. We haven't even started training yet, and I already highly recommend them! My boy is officially signed up to start his training! Added pic for cuteness 🙂
