If you are considering training your dog to be useful for therapy and healing, Buckeye k9 provides therapy dog training. Here’s how it works. Buckeye K9 is very familiar with the therapy dog training class as well as the therapy dog certification test. Buckeye K9 prepares the dog and the owner by training both on the necessary capabilities required for the therapy dog training class and certification test. After a period with Buckeye K9, you will graduate out of Buckeye K9, ready to enroll in therapy dog classes that culminate with a therapy dog certification test.

Yes! They can do service dog training. I highly recommend Lori and her staff for any training needs. I've use her a few times and have recommended to friends who have had awesome results. In fact, her business has my newest member of the family as I write this!
My dog Abbey does great with commands in the house and did good outside until a couple months ago. Now she wants to bolt when you take her outside, what can I do?
We would want to put off leash control on your dog so if she tries to run off you can have full control of her and call her back to you.
Do they help with older dogs who have behavior issues as well as potty issues?

Yes, we can definitely work with older dogs. However, they may take a little longer to help fix if they have had bad behaviors for many years and have gotten away with things so long.

Hanley was absolutely amazing! Without her attention and care, we may never have discovered that our dog's food contained ingredients he was allergic to. Rather than waiting for us to return home to make a change, the team went above and beyond by allowing us to have new food delivered and immediately began transitioning him to it.
Knowing that my dog was somewhere he genuinely enjoys being, surrounded by people who truly care about him, gave me tremendous peace of mind and allowed me to fully relax during our trip. Thank you again to the entire Buckeye K9 team for everything you do. Your dedication, compassion, and commitment to the dogs in your care mean more than words can express.

I love Buckeye K9. I’ve been boarding my dog there for a few years now after moving from Chicago. I did plenty of research on a facility that could handle a >100 lb German shepherd dog. They have exceeded my expectations. Hanley especially has been amazing to work with and made me feel comfortable from day one. Also, I recently tried their grooming services and think it’s the best he’s ever looked. I’m not sure who the groomer was but they did great! Can’t recommend enough!

Update: I cannot recommend buckeye K9 enough for their exemplary work in transforming dogs. I brought them a second Anatolian this year who previously had been a stray was returned following his first adoption and I eventually adopted him. He ignored my commands... And they're very stubborn by nature. The work done with my dog made the difference between day and night. I am able to feel safe walking my dogs without them walking me and they are twice my body weight combined. They are responsive. I am so optimistic about our future now that I can manage my dog safely. Highly recommend. 15/10
I sent my Anatolian Shepherd to Buckeye K9 while I was recently away for board training. She is now responding quickly to commands and is much easier to control which is important given she is a very large dog. Buckeye K9 was very responsive, easy to book online with telephone confirmation, and I feel like my dog was very very well cared for. This was an impeccable value and I will be scheduling additional off-leash training with my giant beast in the future. Thank you for helping me and my dog!!!
