FirstBarkWe had a great experience learning to train our golden doodle puppy at Building Bonds. They were patient with her high energy and gave us a variety of training exercises so we could find the ones our puppy responded to. They also have online videos that were very helpful.

When my puppy gets all his shots will it be okay to start training
Hi Sandra, We offer a puppy preschool class for undervaccinated puppies 8-16 weeks of ag. The medical requirement are that they must have received their first distemper/parvo vaccine and ten days must have passed since it was administered. You must also provide us with a copy of a negative fecal test result indicating no parasites were found in your puppy's stool. We sanitize our entire facility and equipment used during the class with Rescue, a veterinary hydrogen peroxide based cleaner before each preschool class. For puppies who have completed the series of puppy vaccines and have their rabies vaccine, we have a puppy kindergarten for puppies 4-7 months of age.

Patient, quick thinking, she is into the dog's mind and the handler's mind and can fix problems before they happen! Exceptional trainer with international credentials. She has trained with the very best this world has to offer in training dogs of every breed and even those with handicaps. Sometimes Susan is so spectacular in her skills, I would rank her up with the guardian angels for our beloved dogs.

There are so many wonderful things to say about the Building Bonds team and training sessions. My puppy completed the Puppy Start Right class and Kindergarten. Sessons were offered on the weekends at very accommodating times. The facility was extremely well maintained and inviting. All trainers were fantastic and friendly, offering taylored support, as well as answering any and all questions. The online courses allow for guided practice at home, and reinforcing lessons learned in class. I absolutely would recommend their services to anyone and plan on using them again in the future.
So I have nothing against my trainer. Where my issue lies is in the setup to training. I wanted to work on play by getting my pup to stay. So I have nothing against my trainer. Where my issue lies is in the setup to training. I wanted to work on play by getting my pup to stay. They recommended me go through the 6 week classes, and playful biting. After I went a couple times I found that most things that were taught didn't apply to my pup. When I commented about my concerns the person in charge (not the trainer) replied, providing me with more general advice and pointing me to handouts and videos (not helpful at all). There's a TON of free handouts and videos online. I didn't pay money to have something I can get for free. They did offer me 2 private classes in lieu of continuing the general training which I did. But again, the teachings weren't really effective. Nothing against my trainer Kim but the person in charge Michelle was very invalidating by responding to my specific concerns with broad brush strokes. I would never use this company again and would recommend all to save their money by just getting free material online.
