C J's Dog Training

We adopted an eight year old chow/American staffordshire terrier/German shepherd mix. He was overall a good dog, but being a rescue with a sordid history he had some baggage. Mostly, he had some leash aggression so we took him to CJ’s. He was often naughty in class, barking at other dogs or not responding to the training, and there were times I thought none of this will work to help him be a calm leash walker. But, we went to every class, and continued the training after he graduated, and I’m so happy to say that he can now meet new dogs, big and small, on leash and even engage in playful interaction. The tools CJ gave me have made my dog a better boy and I’m so thankful.

I would not take another class here. We took the puppy kindergarten class. There were too many pups in class which allowed for no 1:1 assistance and no time for questions. The first class is without pup, and is geared toward what items you can buy there, what different chew toys feels like, and what ingredients are in treats. The last two classes are spent on an "agility course," plus puppy play time. So barely 3 real training classes. It seems they provide "training light" so you'll sign up for the next class. No thanks.
