Cali K9 Los Angeles Dog Training

Cali K9 has been a life saver for my reactive 2 year old, 130+ Anatolian Shepherd mix Milo! After just 1 week with Hamza, Milo’s behavior changed dramatically. This once nervous, growly, snappy dog has become a cuddly, confident, happy pup. From Jas’ direction and encouragement, to Madison’s scheduling accommodations, Devin’s online classes, & Hamza’s true caring and expertise - I couldn’t recommend enough the value of this group, especially for reactive dogs. While Milo still has a ways to go, the leaps and bounds progress that he has made so far is encouraging for his and our family’s future.

Just got our 2 girl-Pits back from Board and Train, and are already impressed with their transformation! We’ve struggled for years with leash and territorial aggression, which kept us from being able to travel as a family, and generally feeling lost and unable to support our dogs through their big feelings Enter Cali K9. The team is highly invested in your successful adoption of the Cali K9 method. Not only do they provide the tips/tricks and tools necessary to establish yourself as a pack leader and handler, but they genuinely show they care with their attentiveness. After initial consultations with Jas, Madison took the lead in explaining the process to come. During their stay, she and Drew were responsive, great listeners, understanding and forthcoming with information. Excellent follow-through with videos and check-ins throughout and post-B&T. They sought our perspective and graciously accepted constructive feedback on how to make the program even better We’re now in the capable hands of Hamza, who is providing US the training we need to effectively communicate to our girls. There is more work to be done, and we are excited to keep going. We are so happy with the kick start from Board and Train. Happy to be a part of the Cali K9 Family!!! 🐕‍🦺🦮

I had my 1 year old golden retriever board and trained from December 2024 to January 2025 and during those 4 weeks of training they only thought 4 commands: sit, place, heel, chase. Heel wasn’t fully trained, chase command doesn’t make sense since we don’t use it in every day life. While I think they are great dog trainers, I find board and training was waste of $4800. First evening after picking my dog up, I noticed that Walk on leash was the same as before the training. No changes at all. He still was Reactive to skates (which I mentioned to trainer and in the application) was not addressed. He still pulled the Leash, he still got excited and jumping when people approached him. And that was the first walk after the 4 weeks board and training. Trainings were mostly done indoors, i never got any videos of outdoor real life trainings. Overall, I regret spending almost 5k, I didn’t get what I saw on instagram videos and advertisements. During 4 weeks, I got like 3-4 short videos. I called Calikk9 week after, asking Madison, that I need the owner to evaluate my dog and see if he’s happy with the training, she assured that with my board and train I get some online and in person classes hopping problems will be fixed. Attended on first online class, was the same 4 commands for beginners. Called again, she put me on intermediate classes however 3 classes were canceled in a row. Trainer sick, trainer on vacation etc…After that I wasn’t even scheduled for any classes. I think my honest review will help people save 5k on board and training and do in-person classes instead

I’m so happy to have found for Cali K9 and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to train their dog. The program is well structured and the training techniques are clear, effective and easy to implement. I feel so much more comfortable when taking my dog out in public and knowing he will behave and listen to my commands. At Cali K9 I learned about pack leadership and the importance of building confidence between me and my dog. Our training sessions with Hamza are not only effective but are also so much fun! Every session is engaging, and he makes learning enjoyable for my dog and I. The positive reinforcement techniques keep my dog excited to learn, and we look forward to each session. I can tell that he genuinely loves what he does , and it makes all the difference. I highly recommend Cali K9 if you want a fun and productive experience for both you and your dog! Also whenever I have any questions and I email them, Madison always gets back to me in a quickly manner, she is extremely helpful and very kind.
