Length of time depends upon you, your dog, and your goals. In any one lesson, we can cover 1-3 topics over the course of an hour. You may wish to have multiple lessons on one topic.

Calvert dog academy is amazing. Elizabeth and Madi worked with us for several months with our golden buddy and every session was so helpful. You can tell Elizabeth truly cares about your pet. We especially love how you are taught to teach your dog to want to do the right thing because they want to do it and not because they are afraid to do the wrong thing. After every session you get a “report card” reviewing the last lesson with things to work on until the next visit. Just amazing. We did weekly one on one training with Madi and Buddy only where Madi would come to your home and pick him up to take him out on a walk and train for an hour. After every day training you could tell a difference and every time he saw Madi walking towards the house he would wiggle with excitement so I know that she was giving him a lot of love as well as teaching. Highly recommended Calvert Dog Academy.

Elizabeth was friendly, knowledgeable (but non-judgemental), and fun to work with. In the two sessions that my dog and I had, I acquired several techniques that have immediately made a HUGE difference in the success of our walks. She also provided me with helpful information that will enable me to work ok my dog’s physical impairments. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a fantastic experience taking a group class (puppy kindergarten) with Elizabeth Ashley! Our puppy started out being very shy/nervous and she helped us help him come out of his shell. She did an amazing job balancing teaching obedience basics with personalized help for each specific puppy's circumstances and needs.

Elizabeth did a great job with my dog, Shenzi! Below is a note I wrote after my dog spent two weeks with her:
“I just wanted to say thank you again for all the work you did with Shenzi. Her behavior has been so great- we have had many snuggle sessions (where she sits on my lap and my legs go numb, haha).
Her behavior change during walks has been so noticeable- earlier this week a neighbor who has seen Shenzi being very energetic earlier this year remarked on how calm she was! Shenzi even allowed the neighbor to give her a pet and she stayed sitting down! I was so excited, I immediately called my parents- you’d think I was a grandparent gushing about my grandchild 🤣”
As I’ve been telling my family and friends, Elizabeth is a miracle worker!
