Camp Lucky Board and Train

My girl, Shelby, went to the two week board and train and has returned as a new pup! She would get overexcited when meeting new friends and the training has changed her to be calmer when meeting new friends. She is very responsive to commands and this greatly reduced my nervousness. The in-home teaching at graduation was extremely helpful to understand how to follow through and continuing her amazing progress!

We had an amazing experience with Skylar at Camp Lucky! Our dog, Miller, completed the 2-week board and train program and the results have been incredible. He now has great house manners, stays confidently on “place,” and responds reliably to commands when asked. His off-leash skills are especially impressive — he has excellent recall and behaves beautifully both on and off leash. We are beyond happy with his progress and truly feel it was worth every penny. We highly recommend Camp Lucky and Skylar to anyone looking for professional, effective training!

We love Camp Lucky! When we decided to get a dog we knew from the start we wanted to work with a trainer. We did the puppy lessons and the 2 week board and train. The puppy lessons were so helpful in setting the ground work with our puppy. Jessie was great and we knew she would be in good hands during the board and train. She’s been home for one week, and I’m beyond impressed with how well she is doing and continues to do. I can’t recommend Camp Lucky enough. It will make your entire puppy experience so much better. Jessie is incredible, miracle worker if I must say! We have two CRAZY doodles that didn’t listen even for treats. We did the two week obedience board and train and I picked up different dogs! They had their same energetic personalities but LISTENED! My giant doodle (110lb) made me nervous to go on walks because he pulled, jumped, and got excited when people walked by. Now, he can roam off leash beside me and listen to every command on our walks. Dinners are a breeze, they now have a “place” and when we need to eat dinner, leave the door open to bring in groceries, they sit still and just wait to be released. I often get asked if it was worth it, and 1000% it was worth it. My family has noticed a huge difference in their obedience and we thank Jessie for that, and all he has done to help my dogs be the best versions of themselves!

Saying that I am thrilled with Jessie and my board and train experience with Lucky Dog is such a huge understatement. I was extremely skeptical and cautious setting up a two week board and train for my 6 month old German Shepherd, Chief. My wonderful experience with Lucky Dog started prior to any payment with a few phone calls to Aaron who assured me that Chief would be safe and happy with Jessie. He was always patient and kind explaining the process. After reading all of Jessie’s 5 star reviews I bit the bullet and set up Chief’s pick up date. Jessie reached out and answered all my questions and tried to put my mind at ease. He continued to respond to anxious texts with forwarded instagram posts with horrible experiences with board and trains and assured me they would never treat my puppy that way. After he picked up Chief I received 3 times a week report cards with pics and videos and Jessie kindly responded to all my texts checking in on how Chief was doing. The progress on the videos was mind blowing. Chief went from barking at people and lunging and barking at any dogs to walking off leash in a department store! I couldn’t believe it! When Jessie dropped off Chief he was happy and his puppy self and definitely loved Jessie. It is very apparent how much he enjoys dogs. Jessie then spent 1 1/2 hours training me with Chief in a park full of people and dogs and Chief never reacted. It has now been a couple of days since pickup and I have worked with Chief several times and he tried to fall back on his old ways but Jessie taught me what to do and I nipped that in the bud. I just finished a 1 1/2 mile walk and it was a PLEASURE! Chief heals, sits and lays on command and stays in place. He is still a puppy and a goof ball but when I put on his leash he knows it’s work time. This experience has been so positive and honestly, life changing and affirming. There still are good people in the world who are good at what they do and Jessie with Lucky Dog is that person! Thank you Jessie and all your family! You are the real deal and you are an amazing trainer. Keep it up because this is your vocation!
