FirstBarkWe hired camp lucky after mixed results with another trainer. Desiree came and picked up our 1 yo poodle mix and two weeks later dropped off a changed dog! Our dog was (and has remained) attentive and responsive to all commands. It was obvious the dog loved and respected Desiree. I can’t say enough about our experience. If you are on the fence, DO IT!

Do you offer any off-leash training?
I am not sure sure if this question was sent directly to me or not. I am not a trainer at Camp Lucky, however I do know they do off leash training. Our springer spaniel did amazing with it too.

They are the best! Completely changed our pittie Zara. She is so well behaved now ...and not scared of the stairs! Best dog trainers in Winston-Salem in my opinion 😁🐕♥️

We are coming up on a year since our Dog Grits went to Camp Lucky for a three week training. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the recaps of the training Grits practiced each week. Our trainer Jesse was great! Towards the end of Grits' stay Jesse asked to keep Grits an additional week. Jesse wanted to ensure Grits really understood the commands he had been taught during his time at Camp Lucky. My Fiance and I really appreciated the time and patience Jesse put in with Grits, as Grits is a GSP with very high energy! Once Grits returned we noticed how well he listened to commands and the structure was not only beneficial to us but for him as well. After the honeymoon phase of having Grits back we noticed that he challenged us a few times to see how much he could get away with. During this time we learned as dog parents that we had to work on our consistency with him to keep up with the structure he developed over the course of training. We have had many friends and family who have noticed a night and day difference and we can only thank our trainer, Jesse for that! Thank you so much and we would highly recommend!
One of the best decisions we ever made was sending our pup Murph for training. He came back still our energetic little boy but much more well behaved. We appreciated all the photos and videos that we got that included updates so we could watch his progress. The difference we’ve seen in him is amazing and made it all worth it!

Desireé was awesome to work with! My 1 yr old mini Bernedoodle (Enzo) needed help with greeting manners and recall, in particular. He completed training 2 months ago (participated in 2 week board/train) and has been doing great! Total game changer… we continue to practice commands on a regular basis and he listens so well. Can’t believe it’s the same dog. Desireé was very patient with my pup and with me! She has a very gentile nature about her that puts you at ease handing over your baby to her for a couple of weeks. Practice is key… the trainers set a strong foundation, but you’ve got to put in the work when you get them home. Practicing commands will definitely pay off. We can go through stores now with him being off leash, and I don’t worry about him not listening or jumping on strangers. I can actually enjoy my dog rather having to apologize to everyone for his lack of manners. I appreciate that she has stayed in touch and allows me to ask questions any time I have them. My parents were so impressed that they sent their dog through the same program with Desireé. Our family can’t say enough good things about Camp Lucky and Desiree!!
We have had the best experience with Desiree at Camp Lucky. They are really good at what they do! Our dogs came back relaxed, confident, and responsive to a slew of commands. I can easily walk them on or off leash now, they come when called, and keeping up with their training was pretty easy after Desiree showed us the ropes. So thankful to have found such a good trainer. Highly recommend!
