Mikayla truly is a dog whisperer! Almost a year ago, our Golden Doodle puppy, Opal, enrolled in a two-week board and train with Mikayla, seeking help with three main challenges: 1. Opal was WIIIILD during walks – pulling on the leash, biting it, and jumping at other dogs and people. 2. Opal kept taking and eating things she shouldn't – like shoes, remotes, and anything on the coffee table. 3. Opal struggled with extreme anxiety and aversion towards her crate. During Opal's board and train, Mikayla worked wonders, addressing these issues and more! A year later, we're delighted to share that Opal has maintained all the training and skills learned from Mikayla. Mikayla remains a valuable resource for our family to this day. When behavioral challenges arise with Opal, we turn to Mikayla, and she helps us craft a plan to resolve the issue. She even assisted us in finding and vetting a dog trainer for my in-laws in Florida. Opal still enjoys occasional boarding with Mikayla, and the sheer excitement she displays upon seeing Mikayla speaks volumes! Thanks to Mikayla, Opal is a good and happy dog. Mikayla has been such a gift for us and our GSD. She is incredibly patient, and adapts training based on what does/does not seem to work best for our pup. Her training has allowed us to build stronger trust with our dog and ensure both him and us feel safe in any situation. We’ve learned so much and are now able to incorporate maintenance training into our daily routines thanks to her support. Mikayla is the best in the business! Not only is she so kind, thoughtful, communicative, and gentle with your pets, but she tailors and adapts her training programs to each individual dogs and their needs. She listens attentively to you as the owner, and built an amazing custom program for my pup based on my own preferences and his needs. She is also fantastic at getting to the root of behavioral struggles - she was able to help my dog better understand boundaries, and we have seen a huge improvement in his barking in the house since working with Mikayla! I also love the frequent updates you get about how your pup is doing, the open lines of communication, and even just getting to see how much progress and fun every single dog in her program is having via Instagram. I feel confident and safe leaving my dog with very few people, and when mine came back to me after training with Mikayla he couldn't have been happier and more excited to interact with her, which gave me so much peace about the entire experience.
