Canine Connection

My first experience with Canine Connection was through their Puppy Kindergarten course and the Puppy Social for our Golden Retriever (Shadow) with Dr. Sarah. We had so much fun and our puppy learned essential skills (sit, stay, down, heel, recall), as well as how to socialize politely with other dogs. Because of our wonderful experience, we enrolled in “Acing Adolescence" with trainer Nancy to fine tune Shadow’s leash manners and recall as she started reaching the teenage phase. These courses have immensely helped her become a good canine citizen in our community, because they have taught me how to be a good handler and dog owner. Dr. Sarah and her staff have challenged me to reevaluate my preconceived notions of what makes a 'good dog' and to step outside of the box to work with Shadow in ways that are beneficial for her. This has allowed me to form a deeper and stronger bond with Shadow that makes taking her on walks and hikes so much more fun for both of us! In addition, Shadow has gone to daycare at their facility for around 1.5 years and we love seeing how happy she is to greet the staff and go play with her friends! We also boarded Shadow at CC while out of town for a few days and it was a relief to know she was in good hands and having fun. The staff at CC are always helpful and it is obvious that Shadow adores every person there. We recently adopted a dog from Jordan and Dr. Sarah and trainer Anna have been lifesaving as we navigate the journey of integrating a new dog with some reactivity into our household. There have been many tears and moments when I have felt hopeless about our two dogs ever getting along, but Dr. Sarah and Anna have been there every step of the way providing invaluable advice, training, and reassurance. Shadow and her new brother are now playing together and even cuddling on the couch, which is something I never thought would happen. This would not have been possible without Canine Connection! I am so grateful for their support and guidance. I highly recommend all of Canine Connection’s services!
