Canine Karma Dog Training

We chose to do a 45 day board and train with our almost 2 year old dog and found it was worth every penny. Before doing training with Canine Karma he was anxious aggressive and getting worse by the week, despite our attempts to help him. Since being home from his board and train at Canine Karma he has been so happy, significantly less anxious, confident, and so much fun to continue training! Walking him is a joy! We are very thankful we chose to go ahead and do the board and train. We absolutely highly recommend doing any sort of training with Canine Karma. They are knowledgeable, helpful, full of resources, quick to respond and truly set you up to succeed with your dogs training.

The team at Canine Karma Training in Stafford has been nothing short of phenomenal. From the extremely informative consultation all the way through all of the post training support, our family recommend them over and over again! Our dog Luna went through a nutritional consult, and was able to get off a prescription medication as well as allergy shots. She then went through a 45 day board and train program. She did not have major behavioral issues, but was stubborn, insecure, and just a young dog in general. She still has her moments, but the support I have received post-training has nipped any issues in the bud. The team is quick to respond, offer solutions, provide links, etc… Luna goes with me everywhere from coffee shops to breweries, and stays in place command, doesn’t bark, lunge, want to play with other dogs inappropriately, or otherwise misbehave. She was even taught how to walk on a treadmill! Their approach began with a thorough initial consultation, including around 70 detailed questions, followed by regular updates during the board and train program, which kept us informed and engaged. After the training, they provided a comprehensive 4-hour session with us and follow-up consultations to ensure a smooth transition back home. As a result, Oscar is now happier, less anxious, and much more obedient, significantly improving our family's dynamic. They also include a lifetime support guarentee to ensure Oscar continues to thrive. Longer version: David and Isabelle took our 3 year male old French Bulldog from a "2" to a "9.5" in 6 weeks. And every day he is home, he continues to improve and get better. He's less anxious, MUCH more obedient, and seems more "content" as a dog in general. We had serious issues with Oscar - when he was a puppy, he was great, but over time he began to develop aggression issues. This began with barking at squirrels/foxes in our yard and people walking on the sidewalk in front of our house, to jumping/snarling like a madman whenever there were things that caught his attention outside he felt demanded his attention (i.e. those same squirrels, rabbits, foxes, etc.). Eventually, he began biting anyone new who entered the house - delivery people, service people (plumbing guy), and friends we had not introduced him to yet. He is small and did not cause serious damage, but it was unnerving. We have a 13-month old daughter and we were very concerned that while he was amazing with her, that made not always be true (he learned aggression could solve his problems). And we definitely knew we couldn't invite her future friends over. David did an initial phone consultation, which was more thorough and comprehensive than any of the (several) other trainers we had spoken to previously. ~70 specific questions. He recommended a board and train, which we went forward with. Oscar spent 6 weeks at Canine Karma and they sent us regular updates (text, pictures, videos) to show us his progress, ask specific questions to learn more about his history/background, and keep us well-informed. When we picked him up, they did a very thorough 4-hour training session with us, and we have two follow-up consultations (one virtual, one in-person) included to make sure he is adapting well to the new home environment. Canine Karma changed the relationship we are having with our dog - and everyone is happier (including Oscar). I couldn't recommend them enough. Money very well spent!

My daughter loves working with Dave and his team to train our puppies! Our dogs are doing amazing with their training at Canine Karma Training and she saw a huge difference in training in only a couple of weeks! Dave and his team are professional and personable. I cannot recommend David, Isabela and their trainers enough! Our dog Lola is a “pocket bully” that needed some aggression training after becoming overprotective of her family. We chose the Board and Train and it was an amazing interactive experience. Their extensive knowledge of behavior modification and excellent communication through text and video during the program really made it a special “involved” experience. And that continues today with open communication as we navigate our new training and schedule for Lola. These trainers welcome your pet and treat them as their own, and it shows in her training.
