Canine Karma Dog Training

After adopting my dog Luna, she went to board and train with Canine Karma. They were absolutely amazing with her!!! And they still are years later. I get asked regularly what kind of training she went through because she is so attentive on leash and with her commands. Even more amazing is the continued availability for questions or concerns post training! I recommend Canine Karma to anyone and everyone. Thank you Canine Karma Training FOR SAVING MY DOG AND CHANGING MY LIFE! Our dog Jaxx was a dangerous nightmare before we found CKT. During my first consultation with David, I explained to him that we had three other dog trainers (2 made him worse, 1 had no results at all) and nothing was working. Our vet told us to euthanize him immediately because, “you will never change this dog”. Jaxx bit 4 different people, 1 of which resulted in a serious trip to the hospital and a lawsuit against our family. He was completely out of control, zero obedience, aggressive to humans and dogs, and very destructive at home. It was horrible. David listened to all of this and calmly told me that they’d have no issues at all training Jaxx. Honestly, he was so nonchalant about it, I doubted him. I explained again, just how bad and dangerous my dog really was, because it seemed like he didn’t understand the severity. He heard all of this and laughed, telling me, “this is what we do, we train dogs like this all day, you’ll be just fine!” The dog we thought was untrainable, he didn’t seem to think was even a challenge. Every other trainer was terrified of Jaxx, David however, wasn’t even concerned. When we dropped off our dog, we were so anxious and scared about handing off the leash, especially to a woman - Isabela, the co-owner of the business - because we thought a big, strong man was needed to handle our BIG, strong dog. Nope. Isabela took the leash with a carefree confidence no other trainer had ever showed before. Jaxx seemed to recognize this woman’s “power”, and just politely walked right outside with her, and the training began! Over the next 45 days (Board & Train), the CKT team worked tirelessly with our boy, training him up to a degree we never thought possible. We showed our vet a video from one of their updates, of Jaxx walking with 3 other dogs, calmly, with no care in the world. Our vet was speechless and apologized for recommending we put him down! Isabela, David, and their trainers put their whole heart into these dogs and it shows! Our dog came home improved, reformed, and refined. His obedience is off the charts but more importantly, HE IS SAFE and stable. They put such an emphasis on “neutrality” and now he doesn’t react to dogs or people at all anymore. Zero aggression. The dog that was previously a nightmare and a huge source of stress, is now an absolute bundle of joy and happiness in our lives. It is an understatement to say that Canine Karma changed our lives! It’s an absolute shame that 80% of the dogs they train are just like Jaxx, but these other reviews aren’t honest enough about how bad their dog’s were before this life-altering training. Pride, I guess? Not us, we were a prisoner to our dog’s chaos and aggression, and we were genuinely scared of our own dog. Friends and family stopped coming to our home! Now? They’re all convinced these wizards have super powers and our daughter wants to be Isabela when she grows up. This training program was the best investment we ever made and our only regret, was not going to them sooner!

I couldn’t possibly say enough great things about the Canine Karma Training team. I met Dave when we added a third dog into our home, and he was so helpful and informative we did lessons for over a year virtually. We ended up needing some guidance years later with one of our other dogs so I sent an email (thinking he may not remember us because it had been so long) and Dave IMMEDIATELY reached out willing to help. I then drove from NY to send our dog for a board and train and it was worth every mile and penny. I felt immediately at ease with Dave, Isabella and Layla. It was the best decision for our dog, family, and I wouldn’t have sent him anywhere else- that’s not an exaggeration. The love for what they do shines through so brightly, and the relationship you build with your dog is like no other. Truly- the best of the best.
