Canine Perspective: Structured Daycare, Boarding & Training

We go out of our way to use Canine Perspective's daycare and boarding services and have been for 3+ years. Our dog has a few quirks(reactivity) that prevent us from bringing her to a more "traditional" daycare where they throw all the dogs in a room together and hope for the best. Instead of rejecting us as many facilities had prior, the kind folks at CP took the time to understand our dog and her personality. From there, they create a structured program that suits each dogs' needs. They even managed to integrate our dog into social playgroups, something we never thought possible. I know when our pup is with CP she's not only in great hands but she's also having a fulfilling day where she's working her mind and body. She comes home calm and exhausted versus stressed and overstimulated as I've seen with other facilities. We are so grateful to have found this place and can't thank Canine Perspective enough for the care and peace of mind they provide.

Positive-reinforcement only classes were not enough for our dog, Matcha. We spent thousands on training at Tucker Pups, which she "graduated" from (we have the diploma) and still was reactive to other dogs. They even recommended Prozac, which dulled our dog's personality and didn't address the reactivity. We were feeling out of options until we found Jesse and Canine Perspective. He taught us how to properly use an e-collar, which contrary to misconceptions actually improved our relationship with Matcha, to the point where we are able to have her run off leash in fields, forest preserves, and among other dogs, while feeling confident in her recall. This is the only place we trust to board and take care of our dogs, as they are the only ones who can provide the structure, discipline, and socialization training our dogs require. The entire crew is awesome with communicating with us and accommodating us during emergencies, and we'll continue supporting them for all our pups. There's no such thing as a one size fits all approach, and with Jesse’s guidance we have put in a lot of work to improve our situation. It's a shame that other people do not take ownership of their dog's behavior and use their friends to write negative reviews. By that logic, I should ask my friends to write a 5-star review on how Canine Perspective has improved my dog!
