Valerie knows dogs and at times she provided helpful info., but she is very unprofessional. She was not on time for any of the 4 training sessions. She cancelled and/or rescheduled all but one. Excuses: her dentist, a sick dog, ADT security, and I let her know in advance by phone message that I no longer wanted her to bring a dog to training sessions however when I reminded her by text on the day of training, she said no dog meant the session was cancelled. Today at 4:00 pm was the so called "regular training session time". I sent a text and asked if we were on "Valerie standard time" or was she going to be "no call no show". She didn't come and I received no response. She was paid in advance and was recommended by my vet. She didn't honor the pricing that was on my vet's website either. I will advise my vet of her business practices. Disappointing...

When my boxer was 7 months old she was deathly afraid of everyone mostly men after I had hired someone claiming to be the DFW dog whisperer. And when she would see a man she would try to run away in the opposite direction and she also was what I considered to be a monster wild attitude towards me as well. After them coming and working for me after a month she not only made huge strides but has been so amazing with her training process. She is now 3 yrs old and she is so well behaved and is now my mobility service dog. We are still training but she has been able to do her job while going with me to my VA hospital appointments. Not only is she my service dog but she is also what I call her a service dog for dogs as well. None of this could have even been possible had it not been for Canine Solutions Dallas. This trainer, Valerie, actually stole money from me. She had me buy a 6-session package after our first session. She was then 20 mins late (minimum) to every session after that, or she would cancel at the last minute. This happened about 4 times in a row. For that reason, I decided I didn’t want to continue with her, and I asked for the remainder of my unused package to be refunded to me. She kept telling me I would receive a check in the mail in a few months (even though I paid her in cash). And why do I have to wait “a few months” to be refunded, anyways? Months passed and nothing came. I made 4-5 attempts to contact her, telling her the check never came (even though she knew that), and she wouldn’t respond to any of it. Aside from stealing money from me, she was overall very unprofessional and unreliable. She also got very upset when I told her I was going out of town for 4 weeks and I was boarding my dog with a different trainer. I obviously didn’t trust her to take care of my dog for 4 weeks, because at that point I already knew she couldn’t even show up on time (or show up at all) to our appointments. Of course I wasn’t going to board my dog with her. The only good thing I can say about her is that my dog did like her. However, this actually wasn’t a good thing in terms of training him. He would obey commands when she was there but as soon as she left, he would disobey. So I found her to be completely unhelpful and a waste of time/effort/money. (And she stole money from me)
