CANIS - Dog Behavior & Training

Canis did a wonderful job at training my Doberman Pincher "Kikki Hernandez". When he started his training, he was totally untrained prone to jumping on me, my furniture and acting crazy around the house. But when his training was complete, he was totally trained, almost a different dog altogether and didn't exhibit any of the behaviors that I brought him in to fix. And I want to mention that all the trainers were wonderful and consummate professionals at performing their jobs. And I want to mention that one of the best parts of the training experience was working with Kaitlyn who was the main trainer for Kikki and me and did a fantastic job!

We just completed a two week board & train session for our mixed breed rescue (Ollie) that had uncontrollable leash aggression toward other dogs. This has made such a noticeable difference in his ability to focus on our commands, and show tolerance toward other dogs while on walks in our neighborhood. We have also used Canis to board and socialize both of our dogs, and could not be happier with the trainers’ professionalism and results. The team at Canis has earned our trust and I would like to give a special shout out to Christiana, James and Magaly for our recent board and train experience. We will be back, and have already scheduled two more classes.

My wife and I have a high energy, rambunctious and highly anxious field golden retriever. We were referred to Canis, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the decision. While expensive, you get what you pay for, and the team at Canis give you all the tools you need to succeed, including unlimited private training and group classes for a year after the board and train program. Our trainer, Kaitlyn, was incredibly patient with our golden, and we couldn't be more thankful for teaching both our dog and us the tools to live with a high energy dog. After having a baby our dog Lambo had a very hard time adjusting. It made postpartum hit harder having to hear everyone tell me I should give away my dog son now that I have my little human. I knew we needed professional help with training but I was afraid because Lambo is already 8 years old and you know the old saying "You can't teach a old dog new tricks". I found Canis Dog Training through a Google search and decided to call based on their reviews. After the evaluation I with The owner and trainer Kaitlyn Prisk I decided to leave Lambo in their hands for the 6 week board and training. Today we brought Lambo back home and I feel so proud of him and grateful for the amazing job Kaitlyn did. Lambo is so well behaved, less anxious, and enjoys being in a crate which I never thought could be possible with him. The help him overcome his separation anxiety he had with me and I can't wait for the rest of my family and friends to see the new Lambo. Most importantly I feel safe with him home along with my 6month old baby. I cannot say enough of how thankful I am.
