Cape Fear Dog Training Club

Such a blessing to have this club in our community! This club is very professional and knowledgeable. They will welcome anyone with open arms, eager to share knowledge. I started off with my Collies in 2019 hoping to aquire newer training methods. I not only did, I found a family! I now go to Rally and Obedience shows and classes! I train Service Dogs, and have used the past years working towards my own program.

We are new to NC. Last weekend, I took my daughter and our dog to attend a fastcat trial, not knowing that Cape Fear Dog Training Club and Fayetteville Kennel Club were separate businesses located directly next to each other. We had never been to either of these venues before. We mistakenly pulled up to Cape Fear Dog Training Club to park, instead of the kennel club (the layout is a little confusing and I just followed the other vehicles), and my 7 year old daughter needed to use a bathroom. We entered the building and were very rudely greeted by a woman telling us "Get out, this is private property, you can't use the bathroom. Go." I would have had no problem with this had this woman not spoken to me so rudely, especially while I have a child with me. I understand if it is private property, we felt horrible for interrupting whatever event you had going on. But my point is that an honest mistake was made and we were treated poorly. Even my child said "Why was that lady so mean?". Not a great way to keep people involved in the industry, or encourage them to work with their dogs, if that is how you treat people for making a simple mistake. I have never walked into a business before like this and immediately treated so poorly, like I was on 9/9/23. Being new to the area and active in dog sports and training, and wanting to learn more, I would have loved to check this place out for training classes. Unfortunately this interaction has left a sour taste in my mouth and I'll be sticking with Fayetteville Kennel Club now that I understand the layout better and won't make the same mistake again.

Hello!! i had recently heard about this place and wanted to give it a try.. i’m 18 and i recently just got a puppy 2 months ago.. so he’s 3 months. my fiancée and i had been talking about training him, he just started being aggressive and i’m trying to break him from it but he is getting worse, biting me, my fiancé *his dad * and my parents as well as baby sisters.. please get back with me so i can look more into this!
