Our residency programs are a favorite solution for dog owners who either don't have the time to devote to the daily dog training process and who would rather have Carolina Dog Training, LLC do the "heavy lifting" regarding establishing a training foundation that subsequently only has to be maintained after your dog has already been Trained by Elaine™. Additionally, this unique program is ideal for dogs lacking healthy social skills with other dogs. Since your dog will be integrated into our balanced pack, he or she will learn the joy and peace of being a cooperative member of the group.

For owners who have the time and desire to commit to taking an active role in the dog training process, consider in home dog training. Carolina Dog Training, LLC will train you and your dog in the familiar environment of your own home and neighborhood, including local hot spots! Carolina Dog Training, LLC can assist you in the process of becoming a Pet Partner Therapy Animal Team as well as provide the necessary training for your dog to attain the basic obedience skills required to pass the Team Evaluation! The latest research shows that the Human-Animal Bond through Animal Assisted Therapy comes with a whole host of benefits: • A therapy dog has a positive effect on patients’ pain level and satisfaction with their hospital stay. • The presence of an animal can significantly increase positive social behaviors among adults and children alike. • Pet Partner Teams Volunteer in schools, libraries, hospitals, nursing homes, and many other venues.

Finding Elaine with Carolina Dog Training was life changing for our family!! Murphy, our French Bulldog, was diagnosed with IVDD (Inter-vertebral Disc Disease). Because of this spinal degenerative disease, Murphy is absolutely not supposed to jump, pull, or go up and down stairs. Elaine was very receptive to his limits and eager to work with all of us. She took into consideration his medical condition and did an outstanding job training him. He can now walk on a loose leash without pulling. He no longer jumps on people as they greet him. He stays in place until told to take a break. He is able to pass other dogs without becoming reactive. Our lives have truly changed for the better. Oh...and Murphy is 4 years old so he already had years of bad habits!!
We cannot thank Elaine enough and feel that she is part of our family!!

This is the second time we have used Elaine's services. She trained our dog Maggie Mae 13 years ago and this month she trained our 5 month old puppy Stella Blue. Elaine is a talented and skilled professional. Our dogs are so well behaved because of her. No more pulling on the leash, jumping on people, comes when called, and we can take her off leash. We can take her anywhere now as she has good manners that everyone appreciates.
Not only is Elaine's training outstanding, she is also a delight to work with. I highly recommend this training.

We loved our experience. Elaine worked with our puppy Aoife and we now have a happy well adjusted and very well behaved companion. We as life long dog owners thought we knew everything about training dogs....turns out we learned so much from Elaine. She is wonderful. I highly recommend her!

My pup Stella completed the 14-Day On & Off-Leash Residency program back in March 2019. Now over a year later, I'm so happy to say that this training has really stuck with her and improved her daily life. Stella needed some structure and guidance as a puppy and I didn't have enough knowledge or time to do it on my own. With the tools and training Elaine provided, she learned necessary boundaries and behaviors that I could never implement alone. Plus, I can always feel confident and comfortable with Stella off-leash and our everyday on-leash walks are fun for both of us. It's so enjoyable to watch her be such a well-balanced, happy dog. My husband and I are thrilled with the results from our training sessions. Our 5 month old puppy learned to heel within 20 minutes of our first session! Elaine is an amazing trainer and had great patience for both our dog and for us! We highly recommend Carolina Dog Training!
