Our residency programs are a favorite solution for dog owners who either don't have the time to devote to the daily dog training process and who would rather have Carolina Dog Training, LLC do the "heavy lifting" regarding establishing a training foundation that subsequently only has to be maintained after your dog has already been Trained by Elaine™. Additionally, this unique program is ideal for dogs lacking healthy social skills with other dogs. Since your dog will be integrated into our balanced pack, he or she will learn the joy and peace of being a cooperative member of the group.

For owners who have the time and desire to commit to taking an active role in the dog training process, consider in home dog training. Carolina Dog Training, LLC will train you and your dog in the familiar environment of your own home and neighborhood, including local hot spots! Pet stores, greenways, and dog walking sites are a few good examples where we will work together to achieve a customized list of your goals.

Carolina Dog Training, LLC can assist you in the process of becoming a Pet Partner Therapy Animal Team as well as provide the necessary training for your dog to attain the basic obedience skills required to pass the Team Evaluation! The latest research shows that the Human-Animal Bond through Animal Assisted Therapy comes with a whole host of benefits: • A therapy dog has a positive effect on patients’ pain level and satisfaction with their hospital stay. • The presence of an animal can significantly increase positive social behaviors among adults and children alike. • Pet Partner Teams Volunteer in schools, libraries, hospitals, nursing homes, and many other venues.

Elaine is an amazing trainer who really understood our puppy Phoebe's needs. During our very first meeting she took a lot of time to gauge all of our personalities to come up with the right formula to make things work. We were amazed at just how much improvement was made in only a few weeks. She equipped us with tools to establish good leadership habits which gave us (especially me) the confidence we needed to create a beautiful bond and established boundaries. Honestly the whole process is incredible and worth every penny. Not only can Phoebe walk on a loose leash around other dogs and big distractions, but we can now take her on hikes while giving her some freedom. Pack walks! We feel well equipped to perpetuate her good behavior and know that Phoebe is a happier puppy as a result! From the bottom of our hearts….thank you Elaine!

Putting a man on the moon. The Chicago Cubs winning a World Series. Can't say those were too awfully surprising/unexpected in my lifetime. But having my dog come when called, and heel/ignore other dogs while walking.....now, those are truly unbelievable. Our terrier is part mule (stubborn) and teenager (independent) and his first five years have been frustrating at times for all of us. I came across Elaine in the neighborhood and went for three sessions with the objectives of recall when called, and disciplined walks. Absolutely amazing - boom, done. I can actually walk my dog off leash in allowed areas and he will respond to my commands! Elaine knows dogs, and humans (because she trains you as well). She is straightforward, businesslike, and a great blend of firmness/sweetness. Interestingly enough, it seems to me that as our stress levels have decreased so has the dog's. We now have a disciplined, happy, relaxed environment. Great value - can't say enough good things about what Elaine has accomplished!
We were walking our new puppy in the neighborhood and met several pet owners and several of them had hired Elaine in the past which is how we found her. It was the best thing we ever did for our family!! Our home is calmer, happier and more relaxed now that we have all been trained!! Thanks Elaine for all that you did for us!!
We worked with Elaine to train our standard poodle. She is very professional and a gifted teacher. I will never forget the experience we had training our dog.
