FirstBarkI sent my field golden bred from one of colters males back to colter for some beginner started level training! I am beyond happy with my pup after picking him up, throughout the entire process colter was very honest and communicative! Not only is colter great with dogs but he’s a great person in general also that I would highly recommend to anyone with high expectations for there next gun dog

We offer proven Champion Field Golden Retriever breeding's that align with the GRCA (Golden Retriever of America) standard for breeding. Our breeding age dogs have proven Champion titles & pedigrees. OFA certifications on eyes, Advanced Cardiac, Hips and Elbows along with Genetic testing. We offer APDT certified professional Obedience Training & Retriever/Gundog Training. We have a competitive training program for those interested in building a champion retriever. We have over 25 years working and building the Golden Retriever breed and years of knowledge with various breeds to help you build your next companion, hunting partner or champion level retriever.

I highly recommend Colter of Castle House Kennels. I had done a lot of research looking at trainers for my two Golden retrievers considering driving hours away and he ended up being less than 20 min away from me! Colter invited me out halfway through the training to show me the commands and we went through them again the day I picked them up. Night and day difference. My dogs are very obedient now and my wife is very happy. Happy wife, happy life right?!?! They even join me at the office a few days a week!

Without a doubt the best trainer in the southeast. I left my field bred golden with Colter for 5 months and was super impressed with the results I received. Her first duck season she did really good the first few times out and even better after she got some real world experience. This was my first time sending a dog to training and I was nervous about how the dog would do and if the trainer was actually taking good care of her. Colter does training session with the owner and the dog and from the very first training session I was more nervous about if my dog was going to even want to come home with me lol. You will not find a better trainer when it comes to knowledge, application, and care for your dog.
Excellent training experience for our two Labradors. Colter was great to work with. He kept us informed every step of the way and educated us about the entire process. He welcomed our visits and questions. He focused on learning the personality of each dog and adjusted accordingly to the individual needs. That’s impressive! He took such great care of our dogs while there.
To say Castle House Kennels is excellent would be an understatement! Colter has a top notch facility and his communication is incredible! He cares about every pup that comes to him as if they’re his own, I couldn’t have been more happy with my dog after getting him back!
