Cave Creek K9 Training

We highly recommend Rodd for training and boarding your dog! Our 7 mo old pittie, Zeke, who is a very sweet but shy little guy, stayed with Rodd for his board and train program in July. He totally bonded with Rodd & blossomed during his board and train. We had so much trepidation at the thought of leaving Zeke for an entire 3 weeks, but it turned out to be the best experience for him and us! Rodd was amazing with communication; very quick to respond to our messages while also sending updates with pictures & videos at least every other day. Zeke came home with more confidence & new commands/techniques that we continue to implement daily. He'll be back with Rodd in September for boarding while we are out of town!

Rodd is absolutely Fabulous. My husband and I were more than satisfied when we took our out of control, barking ,Morky puppy to him. I was a little worried about Leaving him for 3 weeks, but felt more comfortable knowing he would be in a home, instead of a large training center.When we saw the videos throughout his training, I didn't think that was our dog.We travel a lot, and now we can take Finley(now 9 months old), into the airport, stores and restaurants knowing he is will heel , sit, stay, and not bark. I have had people stop me in the airport and ask me how he was trained, because he is so welled behaved. Finley has been on 10 flights now, under our seat in a little travel cage. A little extra plus is training myself and my husband. Rodd has helped us continue at home so we know commands and how to deal with up coming issues. We had an amazing experience with Cave Creek K9 Training. Rodd is wonderful and has the perfect upbeat personality for a trainer. We’ve never used a professional dog trainer before and weren’t sure what to expect. Rodd sent pictures and videos of the training sessions so we could see his progress. I would recommend him to anyone. We have also used him to board our dog while we were on vacation. It was comforting to know that our dog was being loved and cared for while we were gone.

First off, Rodd is quick to respond and doesn’t charge for an initial chat with him about your dog. Next, he truly cares and bonds with your dog while they are away at board & train. I sent my very shy dog who is fearful of most people and definitely males. Rodd sent videos of their training progress and I could immediately tell that my dog loved him! I was shocked. She came home knowing place, stay/wait, come, down, and heel commands, as promised. Thank you so much Rodd for the time & care of my dog! He also offers follow up sessions with you & your dog to show you how to keep up with their training.

We had Rodd come out to our house to help train our 2 dogs.  They were afraid of everything and one of them was really reactive on a leash so we couldn't even walk her.  Rodd came out and trained them AND us.  After several sessions we can now bring them out in public and not have to worry at all.  We can take them anywhere and they behave and enjoy the walks.  I'm extremely grateful for his help.  He was very calm and patient and knows how to deal with dogs that are afraid of people.  We cannot thank you enough for giving us the well mannered dogs we always wanted.
