Sharing because I would not take your dog here!! My dogs normal boarding facility was full and I got a recommendation for these people, everything sounded good they even had a “self drop off option” which was awesome because they only had one drop off time @ 4:30 I self dropped him off Wednesday 11/22 at around 6pm or so. When I arrived it was dark, not really much lights and there were two outdoor kennels I could put him in I was told to choose 1 and they would get him after dinner.. they both had old moldy looking poop in them and I had a bad feeling but given they said they would be there shortly to get him I went on and left him. I left him with some food, there was only 1 bowl in there a tin bowl for food I was assuming, no water but once again I was told they were getting him shortly and he would be taken care of and have water food, be inside out of the cold etc.. The following day I asked how his night was and they replied he did good so I believe all is good. I didn’t hear anything until the day of pickup 11/26 concerning pick up time and they said he scuffed his nose trying to get out that was it. When I dropped him off he was barking , energetic, & happy ! When i picked him up I was unsure if he was there because he wasn’t barking and he was so weak he wasn’t even excited to see us..! So not like him. Also self pick up I NEVER met anyone ! He whined all the way home, he isn’t a whiner.. when we got home he couldn’t get to water soon enough. I’ve NEVER seen my dog so thirsty, he drank and drank. He ended up getting sick from drinking so much water, so I monitored the water and we went to bed for the night. He was up at around 4:30 AM and had some water and food. Around 7:30AM he couldn’t get out of my daughters bed he was limping and not putting any weight on his front left leg and I was more than worried at this point, I called his vet and took him to be seen and told them I felt as if he had been neglected because that’s how he is acting. I felt he was left there all weekend and not checked on ! What else could have just happened. I got nothing from Gabe or his wife other than he was no trouble and “absolutely nothing happened to him here” He also has two sores on his lips that his vet said looked to be from a muzzle. Gabe denies putting a muzzle on him.. I believe it was to keep him from barking ..! The sores had been there for at least a day or two because they were scabbed over, I was not notified. No remorse whatsoever from him about the fact that I had to rush my dog to the vet the day after being in his care ! Things like this don’t just happen, especially to a healthy happy dog ! He always comes home happy from his other place and he was not okay and still is not himself. The vet said that his leg is soft tissue muscular and he is definitely sore from something but no one has told me what from and he was in Gabe’s care! She prescribed him pain meds and something also for stress colitis. I was given a $554 vet bill for a dog that was “perfectly fine” as Gabe said. He was not fine and he hurt himself somehow in his care or he was hurt, neglected and not cared for the proper way.. not checked on something! It takes hours or days for these types of injuries to happen..! I was never notified of anything. & I received no answers, no type of sympathy for my dog nothing! Just that he was fine in their care which obviously he was not. Also if it was anxiety or stress they never once said anything! They said he did great and was no trouble at all and that is FALSE ! Something happened ! I just wish I knew what exactly it was! All I can say is WE KNOW OUR ANIMALS! Do NOT GO HERE !! Also after my experience here I came across a review that was very similar except my dog didn’t have prior problems but when I picked him up he was lethargic, weak, and sad just like the other dog and the owners said they did not update them on the dogs status. People’s dogs are like their children, if you’re not going to care for them like the owner does then what are you even doing in this Career.?
