Chill Out Dog Training South Denver

I was very nervous about starting e-collar training for my hyper-reactive Cattledog, but our trainer Cameron led us so expertly through the whole experience. I knew right away that he was going to be a great fit as soon as I felt his calm, firm guidance; as we all know half the training is for the humans! As for results - to say it's been a life changer is underselling it. I am now able to walk my dog on loose leash, my own fear and anxiety level is down to 2 throughout most of the walk and Cameron was even able to train for strangers entering the home without my dog feeling like we were about to be murdered. All things that I sincerely did not believe were possible -- and accomplished in three sessions. I would recommend Chill Out Dog Training South Denver, and Cameron, for anyone (and their dog) that feel they are at the edge of sanity with their training process.

I have a mini long-haired dachshund named Bobby who started out so well behaved. We were working hard to make sure he got the proper exposure and socialization that he needed to become a well rounded dog. After he turned one year old, another dog attacked him while on the leash. Ever since then he became unpredictable on the leash both to people and especially other dogs. We live in a small mountain town where the trainers said they would not accept reactive or aggressive dogs, making it difficult to feel enthusiastic about overcoming this behavioral setback. We received a lot of harsh judgment when our main goal was just to support our pup the best we can. We had reached out to several training providers who made us feel even more discouraged. They would insist on the most intensive program they offer without ever even meeting Bobby. They would charge thousands of dollars up front without allowing us to tour their facility, only offer board and train programs, insist on only training with a collar and claiming the collar as a lifelong tool that would likely not be phased out. They would keep things vague and unclear on what to expect. This made it all so confusing for us. Just when we were ready to throw in the towel and give up on finding a trainer that aligned with our expectations I was reading on a Reddit post and found Chill Out Dog Training. The post went on with several, several comments from many people claiming an overall great experience. Still a bit weary I chose to reach out. Scott answered all my questions, thoughtfully and thoroughly. Since we have to travel 2 1/2 hours to meet and train, he helped align us with a schedule and made it very clear on what we would expect. For the first time, I felt excited to work with a trainer, and felt that my expectations were being heard and attended to. We worked with Cameron and have seen such an incredible difference in Bobby’s behaviors. I was at the point of feeling like maybe Bobby wouldn’t be the dog that could go everywhere with us and that we’d have to be ready for stress whenever we left the house, but Cameron and Chill out Dog Training as a whole has made us feel confident in Bobby’s potential and overall abilities. This has been such a refreshing experience!

Simply put, Cameron is an amazing dog trainer and we very highly recommend him. We started working with Cameron for our 3 year old labradoodle Charlie. Charlie has a lot of anxiety and he is a barker. We also have a toddler whom Charlie was stealing food from, getting jealous of, etc. At first, we were VERY hesitant to try this due to Charlie’s sensitive self. Within three sessions, we have such a happier and well behaved pup, and it was totally worth it! I truly can tell Charlie feels more confident in himself, and he is still the most loving boy in the whole world. Cameron was so patient with us as we learned the e-collar, and he was also available via text when we had any questions in-between sessions. He was great at creating analogies to help my husband and I better understand situations and how to respond (so not only do I feel like we got training for Charlie, but I also feel like we learned so much about dog behavior in general). It also helped that Cameron was a super cool dude who was easy to hang out with during the sessions. Thank you so much Cameron!!!!!!!!
