My dog is smart and for the most part very well behaved.. Occasionally he has some real aggression when it comes to resource guarding. I talked with Scott at Chill Out during the 20 min free consult. Scott suggested ways to work on this problem and if it didn’t help to call and schedule an appointment. I’ve implemented his suggestions and I am pleased with the results. It’s nice to know that ChillOut really cares about you and your dog and are not pushing training sessions that might not be necessary. If things change with my dogs behavior, I will not hesitate to call and schedule an appointment.

We have a whole new dog after 3 sessions with Cameron! Our young lab, Remy, is very happy and enthusiastic, but he was a huge pain to walk. He would act out aggressively when he got frustrated that he couldn’t get close enough to sniff other dogs. We tried so much positive reinforcement training, but he would get way too intense for us to be able to distract or entice him. Cameron gave us some options and said we’d get the quickest and most predictable progress with an e-collar. Remy almost immediately learned not to over-react or focus too intensely on other dogs. I was resistant to using punishment-based training methods, but it was unfair for us not to walk a high-energy dog enough because he was too hard to handle. I appreciated that we use the lowest noticeable setting on the e-collar so it’s just enough to get his attention and snap him out of his fixation and it’s made us all so much happier! Cameron seems to really understand dog behavior and emotions in a super helpful way so we can predict Remy’s reactions based on small movements or changes. I will say he was definitely stressed out after the first training session (when he needed the most correction) but he was his normal happy-go-lucky self during the other two. In addition to walks being a dream now, we got so many tips for manners around the house and in public. Cannot say enough good things about Scott. I worked with him from my initial consult call all the way through to the end. My dog had issues walking for long periods of time without stopping and sniffing things, sitting still at home, pestering guests when they would come over to play, and playing with other dogs. 90% of those problems were gone after the first session with the e-collar. The first session was a little nerve wracking as I didn’t know how my dog would respond, but Scott was extremely patient, clear and concise in his communication, and positive. From there each session got easier and my dog improved exponentially each time. It’s like I have a completely different dog now. Finding a trainer was overwhelming with all the options out there, but in the end i’m so glad I found these guys. Truly worth every penny.
