Chomps Dog Training

We didn’t know what else to do to help our 6 month old Boston Terrier. She would not listen to any command, bark and growl anytime we tried to control her and we were so stressed that we may have to re-home her if things didn’t change. Chomps Dog Training saved our pup! Ting has been home for 3 months now after she trained for 6 weeks with Nick and his crew and she is a new dog! She is still a free spirit but listens to commands immediately, is so friendly with other dogs and no longer growls when we redirect her. It was so hard to not have our puppy with us during the training but it was worth it to now have many years with our Ting stress free! Thank you Chomps Dog Training!

Nick and his team are great. I brought my puppy to them with the "typical" issues - pulling on walks, potty issues, easily distracted, only obeying when treats are involved, etc. Chomps taught my dog everything she needed to know for a strong training foundation, and taught me how to reinforce it after they are done. The team is very responsive, provide regular updates, and spend time with you when they are done to make sure you know what you're doing and your dog doesn't regress. Nick even continued to check in with me after I took my dog back to make sure everything was ok, and did a follow-up session when I need help as a handler. If you want to lay the foundation for a truly well-behaved dog, this is the place to go.

I cannot recommend these trainers highly enough. My dog was by not a bad dog, but she was unpredictable, smart and very stubborn. She was good most of the time but when she was bad, she was very bad. She was impossible to walk. Sometimes she would get scared and refuse to keep moving. Sometimes she would lunge and bark at other dogs. She was extremely territorial and we had a hard time letting new people in the house or encountering strange dogs on our block. I was worried it would be difficult to modify her behaviors because she was already six years old. I had done all the basic obedience classes with her and even some agility but I still couldn’t address her anxiety. She stayed at Chomps for five weeks and came home a much more confident, well behaved dog. For the first time since adopting her six years ago I feel like I can actually communicate with her. She heels perfectly and no longer reacts to dogs or people on walks or hikes. I actually enjoy walking her now! I don’t have to look around and choose the path without people or dogs. I trust her to play off leash at the park and to come when I call. I don’t fret about the small possibility that she might chase a squirrel or have a bad encounter with another dog. Chomps helped my dog grow from a mostly good dog into a really great dog.
