Clawson's K-9s with Class

we were looking for a one on one training class. after research and looking at reviews we decided to go with Clawsons K9s and so happy we did! we met with John for an evaluation and was given the options to do private sessions or a group class. we wanted to be able to take our 4 yr old dog out to different places with us with proper leash manners and not be so reactive when he sees other dogs. along with that we wanted to tighten up on some basic manners as well around the house and when people visit. John gave us the tools we needed to do so. he really works with your goals and your dogs personality.After even the first class or 2 I started noticing a difference on how we walked on leash. he takes his time explaining and showing you how to work with your dog and the proper ways on what to do and not to do. we just finished our private sessions and we feel so much more comfortable and now have the knowledge of the proper training techniques. training is an on going work in progress since it's all about consistency. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a trainer!

Clawson K-9 delivers “Top Notch” training! We took our pup Miley to Clawson’s K-9 for a 2-week board and train. We were struggling with her obedience, behavior, and leash skills. John, the trainer onboarded our pup seamlessly which immediately put us at ease. During the duration of the training, we received daily updates on Miley, and we were amazed by the progress she was making. After the training we were impressed by how well Miley was trained. We were also provided post training classes to help us maintain our form. John’s dedication and passion for his craft and the K-9’s he works with are unparalleled. I met John when I really needed some guidance with my puppy, Penny. At the time, I had no idea how much I would learn from this special human. He was generous with his wisdom, his time, and his supplies. He was patient, kind but firm, and consistently building on what we needed. Everything you could want in a professional handler guiding you and your beloved fur babies. He does more than just help you give commands, walk, and work out issues within your home. He really taught me the value in aligning your dog with its ideal family and how important education within this community is needed. He has so much compassion for families willing to work hard to train their dog and create a healthy environment for everyone involved. I’ve seen him care deeply for a great outcome for the clients he works with and especially their beautiful pups. He doesn’t leave you still asking questions. He is one of a kind and a blessing to this community. You won’t regret working with him and I promise you’ll learn more than you ever expected. John is wonderful! I first met him about a year ago when he came into the shelter I was manager at and did some evals on dogs. We have communicated frequently ever since. He helped me realize that I was actually good at training dogs and just needed more confidence in myself. I have started my own training business and John has been a huge help in offering advice both in the business aspect , and some of the more difficult behavioral cases. I’ve seen first hand how much he cares about the most misunderstood “worst “ dogs. He turns them into the picture perfect dog while teaching their owners how to strengthen their relationship and build a strong bond with their dog. I am honored to call him a good friend of mine as well as a mentor. I have learned a lot and continue to learn each time I bring a question to the table.
